Product Rating Yes Tech 21 has a good reputation. Only had it a week, but judgeing from the way its built i think it will last. Your general opinion of this product. Does not color the sound of your pre-amp. What you hear in your headphones is what you get in the power engine. Some have complained about the controls being in the back, no problem for me, I set everything at 12'oclock and tweek the tone on my HD 500 to my likeing.... Celestion speaker sounds great, plenty of low end chunk, not muddy. Finish looks nice grill cloth is a nice complement. N/A

Built in the u.s. what else can I say Great I've been cranking it for hours. No overheating. Your general opinion of this product. Overall its a great sounding amp. Very loud. Loud enough to gig with. Will defenatly get your guitar above the sound of a drummer Great sound the seventy /80 speaker really comes alive. Tone is beautiful. The eq can transform the speaker from country twang to lagging metal chugging. Looks awesome real retro looking. Looks very boutique.

Killer amp for Line 6 POD HD

By: Joel from Chandler, AZ      Submitted: 5/6/2011

Solid. Get an amp cover. I got a cover for a Line 6 Spider iV 75 watt. Works great and $10 cheaper. Been using and moving 2-3 nights/wk to gigs for about a year. No problem. Doesn't come with a cover. Buy one. Getting a second PE-60. Not because of reliability but for Stereo sound Your general opinion of this product. Use this in smaller venues as my main backline and as a monitor in larger venues. Controls aren't the easiest to get to, but most adjustment I make are on my petal, not amp. Love the idea of connecting the amp to another to double power or stereo. Big natural sound by design. Shipped with a Celestion 70? Haven't felt a need to replace the speaker Black tolex. Good fit and finish thru out. N/A....Probably took time to break in the speaker but didn't notice. It started sounding better after a while but more likely that I was learning how to make best use of my POD

Awesome for modelers!

Great quality should last years. I have owned it three months at thi point, afgter you break in the speaker it sounds even better. Your general opinion of this product. This is a great product for people who use modeling pedals like myself. I use a POD XT Live and an RP1000 and both sound great (the rp a little more then the POD) Its not very heavy which is great for carting it to gigs. The controls are very minimal but they are active which take some getting used to. I boost the mid slightly and leave the treble and bass in the middle. The tone is whatever pedals youre running through it. It doesnt color the sound at all so if i want a 57 champ or a mesa triple rec thats what it sounds like. Great shape, classic finish

I Own 3!!!

I had to replace the input jack on one of them, it was cutting out. But they all work fine now. The Florida heat & humitity is murder on all equipment! Your general opinion of this product. It does just what it's supposed to. I own 3. 1 for my POD xt, 1 for my GR20, and 1 for my XP30 kybd. This way they're not conflicting with the speaker movement (signals arriving at different times)

Great amp for modeling preamps

I haven't had it very long, just a few weeks. I have used it for a few practices and a gig, however. Everything appears to be well made so far. It looks great as far as finish and fit goes. N/A Your general opinion of this product. I am really pleased so far. I use a Vox Tonelab SE with a Yamaha UD-Stomp, a Line6 FM4, and a Line6 DL4 pedal. I was worried about the volume working with a rock band, but it is more than loud enough. It is really light which is a nice feature as well. Overall, I love this amp. It does exactly what it is advertised as doing. My tones sound great through this amp. The other guitar player in the band has already asked where I got the amp and is thinking of getting one as well. N/A This amp is made to be transparent, and in my opinion succeeds at this mission. N/A N/A

Looks and sounds good, amazing little sucker. Going on 3 years now and it still sounds great. Your general opinion of this product. This is a must have for all those using pre-amps and modeling stuff. Simple and easy to use, plug it in and annoy the neighbors. Sounds just like you want it to. simple appointments for a classic look. I've been at this music thing for 44 years now. This is one of the better purchases I have made through the years.

A Must Have For Preamp Users!

Its very well made and compact, you would never believe the sound from looking at the picture of this amp! And its light weighted! Mine still kicks plenty of butt!No noise cracking from the amp when its on and you can use this baby in large venues if u like! Its got the power! Mine is 2 years old now. Your general opinion of this product. This is a good amp for preamp users. I took a chance when i bought it, because they said, it doesnt change your preamp sound when it amplifies the preamp u are using. Its true, I have The 2112 digitech preamp and it sounds exactly the way my preamp sounds through my headphones, just amplified through the Tech 21 thats all! And I like the Celestion speaker thats in it! It very very warm like a tube amp tone, with out the tube amp weight. The wattage is based on whatever your preamp output is Plus 60 watts from the tech21 prw cab. Its got low end you wont believe and sounds sparkly and tight with good head room.Im very impress the way it makes my Ovation CC48 acoustic sound just plugged straight into it. It has tons of presents when i play my Strats through it. Its an amp you cant feel it Tone you would die for.Big round warm bottom end, Sweet not harsh highend and Nice mid range like in a fender reverb tube amp.Whichever way you set your preamp is EXACTLY the way your tone will be amplified. Nothing more or less just with more volume added to it. It looks like a little vintage tweed amp, nothing fancy but that is the products that people hardly pay attention to.But wait till you hear this amp, you will be glad you did buy it. it has no action its a amp

Excellent power and sound for preamp users.

Your general opinion of this product. I use a Digitech GSP2101 preamp with my power engine 60. There is more than enough power to get you in trouble with the cops. The speaker has a tight, even response (great for Death Metal.) It does not change the sound of your preamp presets. If you are fed up with trying to use your preamp with other combo amps, do yourself a favor and buy a power engine 60. You will most definitely be glad you did. (I plan on buying another soon to have a stereo setup, that's how much I like it.)

Clean, Punchy Power!

By: Clint from Richmond, VA      Submitted: 2/5/2008

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
This thing is made tough and rugged. It's not too heavy and it's built to handle the road.

FEATURES:
The best feature of this amp is that it doesn't have many! The 3 band EQ is perfect and the amp is clean sounding as a whistle. There are no 2nd channels, reverb, or drive to deal with. Yet, it IS feature filled. 1/4" AND XLR in. XLR direct out, ground/lift switch. I've used it with a Sansamp PSA1 (which is the best preamp ever made, by the way), a Boss GT3, Vox Tonelabse, and soon the Sansamp GT2. It's got power and doesn't color your tone, yet it gives you that speaker variance that you don't get from going direct (going direct sounds like hog mess even with a good amp emulator if you're using drive/distortion), and it's punchy for reproducing great tone.

EASE OF USE:
4 knobs: volume, hi, mid, low. Plug in and plug out. on/off switch. doesn't get any easier.

VALUE:
$300 seems a little much for just a s
