Definitely worth the money! I experienced a little difficulty at first but due to lack of cable, which I believe should come with it since Thunderbolt 2 is very hard to find.
The other is was routing, with me running my school computer and mics, and instruments; helped me put everything into one interface and daisy chain with my Apollo Twin while I use it as a controller. The other thing that I noticed was that with its DSP, it helps me Mac out a lot until I upgrade it.

As a Grammy nominated music producer and engineer, I’ve used many audio interfaces. However, none of them can compare to the sound and functionality of this great machine. The preamp plugins are identical to hardware I’ve used in the past. Especially the Avalon 737 that UAD provides. Along with the 192 sample rate option, I recommend this to anyone looking to create radio quality recordings!

I love this Apollo! Easy to use, sounds good with my speakers and through the headphones. Comes with a free plugin that you choose. Wish it came with a thunderbolt cable but other that it’s a great purchase!

After comparing this product with several other interface options, the Universal Audio Apollo 8 Quad definitely stands out in its class. I use this unit in my mastering room but the Apollo 8 is ideal for songwriters as well. The two Hi-Z inputs make it easy to keep instruments ready to go when writing. The preamps are unbeatable. Along with the plugins, even the ones that come pre-stocked with the unit, I am able to get a very warm sounding tone that I haven't found with other units in its class. This unit also simplifies headphone mixes. In addition to this unit, I have the Apollo Twin, which I easily daisy chained to the Apollo 8. Once I had this unit out of the box, I was able to have it in my rack and up and running in about 30 minutes. Also, customer support for UA is outstanding. I am 100% certain that I made a good purchase!

I have used an Apogee ensemble for some years now mixing records, and this one particular client would send me his stems to mix. I was always blown away by the quality of his raw tracks. Then one day I asked him what did he use for his recordings and he happily stated a Universal Audio Apollo Twin. And from that moment I was sold. I was going to order a Twin at first as a noble unit but after some research I decided to bite the bullet and go big an purchased the Apollo 8. And boy-o-boy I haven't regret the decision!!! best investment I have made in a long Time...

Great Interface. I have had many interfaces over the years and the Apollo is the best available by far in my opinion.
For what you get, it's an incredible bargain. I'm glad I went with the Apollo featuring Thunderbolt instead of Firewire. The plug-ins are out of this world. Powerful machine....great all around.

This is an impressive interface to say the least. Great pres, a lot of input options and UA's plugins are tremendous. The flexible functionality and low latency is perfect for me. I received a free satellite with this purchase making it worth that much more. Truly a studio powerhouse.

I cut my teeth on an SSL 4000e 56 inputs w/2inch tape and every piece of high end outboard gear in the world and the Universal Audio Apollo is dead on the money!
I have personally recorded gold & multi platinum, Grammy award winning recording artist. I can assure this is the one!
