What is your opinion of this product?
i have owned some decent windows based preamp converters, all entry level from presonus lexicon, alesis etc...i use reason 6.5, and that program is great but when it came to recording vocals it was severely underpowered. lack of plug ins and my crappy preamps equaled poor vocal sound that was impossible to mix. either overly compressed and squashed, or dynamic and clipping, no character... it just sounded cheap....i was about to quit...i heard about this product from ams email, could it be too good to be true, a universal audio quality preamp/converter with built in processing power in a small package perfect for the guy who only wants to record vocals and electric guitars...let me simply say, it is not to good to be true. for 699 you can get a great sounding vocal with character compression and a studio quality sound in your home. microphone and vocal booth not included.
