Your general opinion of this product.
This is your basic made in China product. As such, it "sort of" meets the operational requirements, assuming you're not too picky. In other words, it's pretty much like all of the competing products in the commodity price range.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This has all metal tubing but all of the adjustment knobs are plastic. I don't think it would withstand a lot of rough use. The part that holds the sheet music was off by 5 degrees or so, creating a distracting tilt to one side. Apparently, for this price they can't even make parts that are perpendicular anymore.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Assembly takes no time at all. The adjustments seem to be a little lacking in terms of solid feel, though. Fairly typical from what I have seen of mic/music/guitar stands these days.
Was this item an overall good value?
For $45 I don't expect a truly heavy duty stand (and this certainly isn't, in spite of its name, and I guess I'd be frightened of what they might call a "light duty" unit). I do, however, expect at the minimum that my sheet music will not be tilted 5 degrees to the right.
