As written before, the drumheads seem pretty durable & the throne, but the stand prongs i was pretty disappointed in! I even tried to duct-tape the piece but with the weight of the drum it could not withstand it!
Tone is great.. my father tuned the drumheads and they sound fantastic. Like real drums not any generic sound.
I think overall its a good first drum set and the most valuable thing is the joy my son gets when rockin' out to music with them.... every night is a concert!!

This is a great 1st kit...it is not a toy but a real drum set. The drums are of good enough quality they could be integrated into a full size kit down the road.
Real wood shells & tunable heads. Dont expect a 22" boom out of a 12" kick.
Compared to the plastic sets I seen this set is awesome, it's a real "tiny" kit!

It is very dependable, very sturdy and just absoulutly wonderful for a toddler
I love the way it sounds.
This is the best item I could have gotten for my 2 year old son.
