Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It is well made, but some of the parts appear cheap. The jacks, knobs and badge are no better than those they use on the cheaper AC15. This is typical of Vox though. The guts are nicer though. Reliability How has it stood up over time? No problems yet, but the lack of heat vents do cause concern. Surely Vox has this worked out though? Overall Your general opinion of this product. An amazing foundation for anyone not looking for a high gain amp. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Immediately and immensely responsive. The amp is perfectly matches with a Celestion Blue speaker. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I use this amp with a Gibson SG. This combination gives me just about anything. Bright and snappy? Yes. Dark and smooth? Yes. Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? With some turning of the guitars knobs, yes, all of the above. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Not a flaw. Great workmanship throughout. Action How was the action out of the box? Switches and knobs work well and all make a huge impact on tone. Some switches cause pops, so turn the volume down before switching them.
