Product Rating Product Review If you're on the fence, go for it. I went through other Vox amps and non-Vox Vox amps when it was here all along. Better overall sound with the blue than a new greenback, and it's very versatile and sounds great at half power. Easy to dial in with a tele or an lp. Will growl at bedroom levels w/the master, or can give you a nice ringing in the ears when opened up. Throw a topanga burnside in front and be done.

Product Review A superb Vox amp! I've had a lot of amps and guitars over the years and have wanted one of these for time now. Glad I got it every time I play through it. It takes some time to figure out how to make it work for your particular set up if you use a lot of different guitars, pedals and amps, as I do but the learning curve is worth the effort and not difficult: you just need to give it some playing time. I love the tones and touch response of this amp. I've had it for 3 months now with no issues, worries or regrets. I play a lot of Tom Petty covers and some old Beatles and 60's stuff, as well as contemporary material. This amp takes me right where I'm trying to go. The 1/2 power switch is a nice feature: making it a little easier to use in some situations where eviction might be an issue. I have a Radial Bones ABY switch that I use to channel switch and jumper with, as well as selecting/switching to another amp. So I can gig wide ranging set lists effectively.

Product Review This amp was the one I’ve been looking for a long time. The cleans are pristine, overdriven has all the awesome signature Vox growl. I highly recommend getting the amp with the Alnico speaker, it’s well worth the cash. This amp is a keeper and I hope it keeps doing it’s thing for years to come. Just buy one already!

Product Review If you are looking for an amp that you will never have to replace, do yourself a favor and buy this one. The classic Vox tone really takes my telecaster tone to the next level and beyond. It’s quite loud, even on the 7.5 watt setting and fills any smaller size venue with ease

Product Review I've had this amp for about 4 months, and have about 20 hours through it at moderate volume. I generally classic rock through humbuckers and mostly plug in the normal channel and jumper form the other jack to the top boost channel. No problems plugging in effects pedals, they work great. The blue alnico speakers keep loosening up and the tone started out good and continues to get better and better. Lots of chime and no hum. In comparison to my 1964 JMI AC-30 Super Twin Reverb Amplifier Head and Speaker Cabinet converted to top boost, this AC-15 gets into the classic overdrive by digging in at much lower volume. Much more practice and rehearsal friendly. Excellent balance between bass and treble strings without boominess. I have a handful of other amps (silver face Super Reverb, 70's Marshall Mk II 100W Super Lead with plexi conversion, Hot Rod Deville and Matchless clone; this 15W seems to have the most genreraly useful tones, clarity and volume. I have no dislikes regarding the amp, and it has exceeded my expectations!

Product Review This is a wonderfully sounding amp. It’s loud so I need the damp switch here. I am really liking amp stacking and this amp provides a round sound. I get sparkling highs and some really nice low end. I am stacking it with a Fender blues junior and a Blackstar Artisan ten watt. I split the pickups on my EVH Wolfgang USA so the neck pickup goes to the artisan and the bridge goes to the vox and the Fender. No effects yet and it’s beautiful at low volume.

Product Review From the range to the tone I’m totally loving this amp. I purchased the HW1X with the Celstion Blue and couldn’t of been happier. One thing that it lacks is reverb, but like most boutique amps you won’t find the good ones with it. Nothing a reverb pedal from AMS can’t fix for you though! Thanks AMS for the payment plans to allow me to own such a nice piece of gear!! You guys Rock!

Product Review More than I expected. I have been plugging into the "high" input of the normal channel and bypassing the master volume. Nice full sound with a little box sparkle. Takes pedals very well, I run a Carl Martin compressor, Radial Tone Bone, Keeley Mod Station, Boss Chorus, Boss delay, Keeley Kantana, Boss tuner. Plugging into the Top Boost channel gives more chime Vox is famous for. Played a small wedding recently and my bass player said he loved the tone, very "full", and that was at a low volume. I also have a Dr Z Maz 18 Jr, I really like the way the Vox breaks up compared to the Z. Will have to run the Z through a Celestion Blue sometime to see how much the speaker affects the tone. Extremely happy with the Vox!

Product Review This amp has the most beautiful tone of any other amp I’ve ever heard, It’s hard to describe. It has a buttery almost organic tone when played low but Kick it up high and it squalls like a banshee. Nothing else sounds even close. I absolutely love it! What can I say, it’s the holy grail of amplifiers.

Product Review 15 amp setting allows good clean headroom to play live and 7 watt allows some grit without blowing out your ears at home. Amazing sound and feel. This one is the real deal with tube rectifier- also didn’t have to swap out tubes when I bought it. Great price for an all tube, hand wired, Celestion Blue equipped amp. The price coupled with AMS payment plans really put this one within reach.

Product Review Yes it's expensive but if you love the Vox sound, you owe it to yourself to try this amp. I owned the less expensive AC15 with the Greenback and while the classic Vox snarl was there, it lacked warmth. I ended up selling it a year later and using Fender for a while until I saw this bad boy. I took a chance and have not regretted it! I was a bit discouraged at first because the Celestion Blue speaker sounds brittle out of the box but after playing it for several hours, it starts to sound REALLY good. The amp also sounds best with the master volume bypassed. You may not be able to push the amp hard enough to get break-up with the MV bypassed without upsetting your neighbors (this thing is LOUD for a 15W) but hey that's what pedals are for. Get it!

Your general opinion of this product. This is a very nice combo amp. It has great Tone and it can get pretty loud with only 15w and one 12 inch speaker. No rattles or hum. It's quite adjustable. I've had it for about a year and It is doing fine.
