General Your general opinion of this product. The Vox AC30C2 is a great, Vox amp for a decent price. These things do what a Vox amp is supposed to do with a few added modern features. Listen to a few Tom Petty songs, or some early Beatles records, or the countless others out there now that use Vox AC30's with great success. It's not a Fender, Marshal, or a Mesa Boogie. The main thing is the Vox sound and it's there in this amp. It is a loud amp, and for some situations, maybe too loud (bedroom practice late nights, very small church service) but it does have a Master volume so dialing in a great Vox sound at reasonably low volume is easy and I have no problem using mine at home. The China made tubes it comes with aren't terrible but upgrading the tubes is a good idea. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seems to be very well made for an amp at the $1000. price point. Has a lot of features the older versions did not have. Nothing "cheap" about it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It Feels Heavy! At 71 pounds it's a good thing it has the 3 sturdy lift handles across the top. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Bright, chimey Vox tones are all here plus, with the "cut" knob in the master volume, you can really fine tune and tailor your sound by further cutting the highs (post EQ) if you need to. Great reverb and Trem also! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Good looking amp. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got one from AMS this week so all I can say is: AMS adds one year to the factory warranty which makes me feel a little more secure, and, statistically, most consumer electronics will fail within the first 9 months, if they are going to.

General Your general opinion of this product. I'm a big Brian May tone fan and I've been using this off and on for the last 3 years. It is soooooo loud and toneful. Takes pedals great. I've gigged outdoor shows on flatbeds and you can crank it without needing a mic. Would definitely recommend a hand truck or a dolly since this amps weight isn't too friendly. If you don't care about the weight I would highly recommend this amp for anything clean, crunchy, to mild/aggressive rock.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Vox quality is the finest. Beautfuln to look at. General Your general opinion of this product. I've been wanting this amp for a long time. So glad to finally own one. I've been through a lot of amps, but the search is over. It dosen' get any better than this. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Beatles all the way. The Alnico Blues are smooth and the chime comes alive when I'm playing my Ric 360. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Fantastic craftsmanship inside and out. I'm very proud to own this amp!
