General What is your overall opinion of this product? I was concerned that Vox had changed the AC30 so much that it wouldn't sound like the an AC30. I am happy to say, it's still great! They added features that make it usable in more situations, but it still has the AC30 tone. The chime, and harmonic content are all in there. It will still sound best if you run the master volume on ten, and use the channel volumes, but that isn't always practical. It still sounds fantastic with the master turned down. Lots of gain on the Top Boost channel, and you can link the channels for more tonal options. It's excellent for an "old school" player, like myself, who likes to use the volume on the guitar. It handles pedals very well, and the bypassable effects loop works very well. The only thing I recommend, is to change the tubes. It ships with Chinese tubes, and while it doesn't sound bad with the stock tubes, it sounds MUCH better with a good set of tubes in it. Tung Sol EL84s sound best to me, but the choice is yours.

Your general opinion of this product. The Vox AC30C2 is a great, Vox amp for a decent price. These things do what a Vox amp is supposed to do with a few added modern features. Listen to a few Tom Petty songs, or some early Beatles records, or the countless others out there now that use Vox AC30's with great success. It's not a Fender, Marshal, or a Mesa Boogie. The main thing is the Vox sound and it's there in this amp. It is a loud amp, and for some situations, maybe too loud (bedroom practice late nights, very small church service) but it does have a Master volume so dialing in a great Vox sound at reasonably low volume is easy and I have no problem using mine at home. The China made tubes it comes with aren't terrible but upgrading the tubes is a good idea.

Your general opinion of this product. I'm a big Brian May tone fan and I've been using this off and on for the last 3 years. It is soooooo loud and toneful. Takes pedals great. I've gigged outdoor shows on flatbeds and you can crank it without needing a mic. Would definitely recommend a hand truck or a dolly since this amps weight isn't too friendly. If you don't care about the weight I would highly recommend this amp for anything clean, crunchy, to mild/aggressive rock.
