What a wonderful little amp. The perfect thing to throw in your case/bag. I bought this because I live with roommates and didn't want to bother anyone when practicing and so far it has been it has been a great experience. This amp pushes a lot of sound through your headphones but make sure you are using some decent headphones. I made the mistake of using a cheap pair that was just in reach and it didn't sound great. This amp is not without its flaws though. It's pretty unintuitive to use the FX button. I have to keep referring to the manual to see how many clicks I need. It's also a little hard to adjust the Gain/Tone/Volume knobs as they are hard to see when the unit is plugged into your guitar. Overall it's such a great amp for the price and the convenience of being able to practice at all hours of the night without bothering anyone is worth the price.

This is an awesome little device. I use it primarily for practice and it works great when I travel. The most difficult part is figuring out which of the VOX devices you might want. I think I'm going to end up with a couple.

This Vox is a must have for late night practice or any time a controlled noise level is necessary. The quality of sound is there for sure and the effects work well.

Perhaps my expectations were too high? I had heard people raving about it so I thought it would be a fantastic way to practice my guitar. Turns out that it just isn't as cool as I thought it would be. Maybe it's just me? It works great though. The batteries seem to last through several practice sessions and that's a plus.

I wasn’t sure how this thing would sound, I was really surprised by the sound you can get from this handy piece of gear. It is so simple to use and makes it easy to practice and not be heard in the later hours of the evening. Thanks again AMS!

Takes some getting use to....But after you find the right settings... It is nice to practice with... While I live in an apartment building , I can still play late at night....

maybe it's my headphones but it I have to keep the gain and tone around 1-2 or the distortion is just too much. Overall it does what I want it to do, I can play my les Paul at 2am without pissing off my roommates and neighbors.
