Your general opinion of this product.
Unlike any other amp I have played through, not a high gain amp even with pedals, to me a purist amp. Recap 60 years of music just plug in and play. Capture deep smooth jazz, rockabilly, classic rock, country. Even grunge which I do not like but does it well. Not a fender, more a Bruno, I owned a lead man 60 and played an underground 30 and cow tipper. Bruno all the way.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Absolutely well made, tolex, corners, handles, excellent. Looks like a high end boutique amp should. The components seem to be high quality as tweeking the amp you feel the roll off or roll on with every turn. I've only owned my tb35 for a day now, but vox has always been dependable for me.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The amp feels great, very functional, LOUD, controls very functional.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This amp is very snappy and articulate. Not forgiving for sloppy playing. Pluged in my 78 strat, 92 frs classic strat, 52 hot rod tele reissue, es339, angus sg, lp standard. All brought out different tones obviously but takes to single coils and humbuckers nicely(big volume drop from single to humbuckers)
How was the action out of the box?
Well packed, clean
How did the stain or paint job look?
Such a beautiful amp to look at.
How has it stood up over time?
