When I first played this at a gig, the sound man asked me about my new "tube" amp. He was amazed when he found out it was not tubes because I was getting the same kind of gradual "breakup" from light to heavy picking just like tubes. But when I mic this baby up, it is good to go! I have not tried it with a big cab, but everybody says it's awesome. My acoustic even sounds great through this thing, real clean, bright and chimey, maybe it's the 8" speaker, I don't know. My Nova System sounds great in front of this amp, too! Are the controls easy to get to while playing? controls are easy, be carefull the gain is all the way off if you want super clean. the top boost really zooms. and back to tone . . . the top boost really improves the tone, but i laid off it since i'm using a tube preamp and pedals.
