Your general opinion of this product.
I have the Keeley and Barber compressors and they are great but I'm not a compressor guy. I have always fought with them because I play hard with my right hand and my feel disappears. This one can do all the squash but you can also keep your attach and tone on the front end and let it comp on the back end of notes. Wampler stuff is awesome - I have 4 other pedals and they are all great.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
It feels very solid and well made. Only had for 3 weeks, so we'll see. It has that same "you could kill a guy with it" feel like Boss pedals. But you wouldn't want to, because it's pretty.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I'll know after a while. I've heard nothing but good about Wampler reliability

It is much more subtle compressor than I was expecting. I bought it for my electric guitar rig, but found that it made my Martin sound real and full through the board, which it hasn't before. I'd keep it just for that. With the Electric rig, it's hard to hear the compression at all, so don't expect much of that "chickin pickin'" sound. With overdrive, it is hard to hear any difference. Sustain is not increased by a great deal. I've tried it as a straight boost, which it does well. But it has developed into a "leave it on" pedal for me because it adds a very subtle, but definitely-there fullness overall. It wasn't what I expected in a compression pedal (like the Boss I had years ago) but I'm digging what it does.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This pedal is more of "set and forget" for me.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Fattens up the tone very subtly. The tone knob adds a touch of "sparkle" more noticeable with cleaner sounds
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Love the sparkly blue. I'm all about sparkly.

I love using compression but sometimes I don't like my signal over compressed but just want a bit of compression. This pedal makes it possible with the blend controll.
