Subject:
All in all, not bad.
Features:
The electronics are first rate. A full range of tones are possible. And the XLR input is a nice touch.
Sound:
Plugged in it's great. However, unplugged the volume is lacking.
Playability and Feel:
This bass is heavier than it looks. Though it isn't too heavy. The thin body allows the arm to drape over it with a natural (i.e. electric) feel. All it all the feel is quite good. My only complaint is the action. I may need to shave the bridge some more.
The only other acoustic bass I've ever played was my nephew's Oscar Schmidt 32" model. Which I like better, due to the shorter scale. (I have short arms.) The 34" of this bass, for some reason, feels longer. Even longer than my Fender '51-P.
Tone:
The tone out of the box, with the round wound strings, was way to bright for my tastes. So I replaced them with tape wounds. Now I'm very happy with it. And with the Equis preamp and EQ the range is suprisingly wide.
Finish:
I have the natural color and I really like it. The finish is outstanding.
Action:
Out of the box, the action was horrendous. I wound up shaving better than 1/16" inch off the bottom of the bridge. And it's still higher that I prefer. But at least it's playable.
