Product Rating Product Review This is probably one of the best, "bang for buck", instrument purchases I've ever made. I've had it for a few months, and since I've had it, I've played it almost every day. It's great for around the house if you're writing/learning a new song, but it's also good for on stage performances. It has a surprising amount of volume for such a small body. The literal v-shaped neck ad wider string spacing may present a challenge to some players, but I immediately took to it and found it very comfortable. My only knock is that the bridge, while very aesthetically pleasing, is very sharp, so it can cause some discomfort and you might want to sand the sharp edges a bit. I ordered this over the phone, and AMS are top-notch in making sure you get what you want. One last thing I'll mention is that this the only parlor-sized guitar I've found in this price range that has a case included. The old, "coffin-style" case fits the retro aesthetic of the guitar perfectly. I highly recommend this guitar!

Product Review After having to return a 75 year old parlor guitar to a store because the back was coming undone, I had an itch ever since for one of these v-neck parlors. Was on the fence about this one, because I read good things about the solid wood version. But once I had it in hand, WOW, my fears were put to rest. Pretty awesome quality. I was expecting a more distressed look. But all in all everything looks really nice. I did remove 1 star because the case's compartment was not attached to the guitar. I'll have to figure out how to permanently set it in. but guitar was awesome. Has a few minor glue marks, but really great quality Neck feels good. low action easy to chord. Very easy to use. great tone for its size. Was really ready to go out of the box! no tuning need when I removed it from shipping case. looks great. but was expecting a more aged look. but looks awesome anywayz great value. set up great out of the box. action low, no buzzing, and no tuning needed

With this model, I had nothing but trouble. The first one I received the strings were laying so close the the frets on the neck, I couldn't play it. I took it to a Luthier for adjustment and he said the neck had a bad twist in it. Okay, so I send it back in exchange for another thinking it may have just been a fluke. When next one came I took it out of it's beautiful case, and looked at it. OMG I said. The strings were so high and hard I really had to push my fingers down to clear the notes, plus the mother of pearl up the fretboard were cracked. One of them actually fell out of the diamond shape slot. I just about cried. I called Washburn to find out what the heck was going on why they couldn't seem to get me a decent guitar sent out. Customer service was nice, and refunded my money. I'm starting to think this guitar is made as a show piece. Something you might want to hang on your wall as a conversational piece!!!! Well back 125 years ago it probably stood up well, but in 2012 it didn't hold up at all, it's built so cheap, the hello kitty guitar might have sounded better. ;-( Your general opinion of this product. Cheap, cheater, the cheapest! I will admit Parlor Guitars are very comfortable to play. I was amazed that I actually liked the "V" neck it had. Felt good in my hands. Twingy, twangy, and I couldn't hear the difference between the mid range, and high range, it's just one big range of "DEEP" sound. It did look very Antique, which drew me to it in the first place. It was horrible both times, and I wasn't ready to go through that again. 2 major screw-ups for me and no more.

Good quality. I've recently bought it so not sure yet. Your general opinion of this product. Great little guitar for the price. The v-neck is a bit hard to get used to but after that it's fun to play. Fine once you get used to the v-neck. Well balanced but more on the bright side. Not a lot of low end bass as expected. Fine. Be warned it's an "antiqued" finish. Fine.

The Quality is fantastic. I think it is very reliable and built well. Your general opinion of this product. I think this guitar is well made. It feels great to play. The neck is great. It sounds great. The finish is excellent. They did a great job of making it look like a guitar from the late 1800s. The action out of the box was fantastic.

Not well made. Not dependable. Sloppy tuners. Laminated top. No volume, no bass. Awful neck. I've owned this guitar almost a year, a tuner went bad. The bridge started to rise up due to no glue between the rear of the bridge and the FINISHED top - revealing Laminated spruce, although it is described as Aged Look Spruce Top, not mentioning the lamination. Your general opinion of this product. This is junk. The inlays are crooked, the sound is similar or less than a kid's cardboard guitar. The top is thin plywood. Mine has the worst glue job I've ever seen on a guitar, places where the stain did not take and insufficient glue under the bridge. The V neck is really too sharp to be comfortable. I guess it looks old timey but it's impractical. The action was OK. I say WAS because mine is now unplayable due to the glue letting go under the bridge - and I only used light strings!! It just doesn't get it. The finish is supposed to look "Aged" I guess, meaning someone in the shop banged it up on purpose with a screwdriver or something. The worker knocked an inlay right out of the bridge and this passed inspection. OK American Musical Supply was good to me when early on, I decided to keep this thing. They gave me a discount due to the misplaced and crooked inlays. However, Washburn has unfortunately surprised me. In time, as I stated, the bridge came up due to poor assembly. My Washburn 12 stringer is a beauty but this Parlor Guitar is nothing but a 500 dollar wall hanging.
