as a working musician this unit does exactly what it is supposed to do
David Bassplayer from Grayson, Georgia, USA
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Quality seems durable and secure....the plastic is not really just a cheap plastic but quite durable....if you need something stronger you may want to consider where your priorities are as a musician....this unit is as sturdy as it needs to be. It will not dimenish your playing
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The best feature of this product is the ease of use and the simplicity of the operation. The digital signal gives a full bodied sound. I use it with my 5 string bass in a working situation....it does allow some extra highs to get through but actually the sound is a very full sound. Its not difficult to shape the sound further if necessary on your guitar. My lower tones of the 5 string bass are not compromised at all and in fact I've been told that the sound is actually a more full sound. There basically is no set up.....just plug in....turn on make sure transmitter and receiver are on the same channel and there is nothing else to do but play. As of yet I can't find any reason to think that I need a more expensive unit....its easy to just clip the transmitter on your guitar strap under your right arm ( if you are a right hander) .....that way its not distracting and when you take your guitar off...there are no pulls or catches that might pull on the wire.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
I don't see how it could get any easier. I simply plug it directly into my Boss tuner input and cord the tuner into the amp. Its probably poor marketing to call this a stomp box ....you would never have any reason to step on this unless you just blindly trip over it. Just plug it in as your first point of contact of the signal to the rest of your boxes.
Sound
How is its Tone?
the tone is full and does allow some more highs to pass through by the nature of the electronics but as a bass player...the tone starts off with a very full range that can be adjusted on your instrument. You do not lose any of your bottum with this unit...you do add some highs which actually is a better more full signal to start with.

This is a great sounding wireless. I bought this as a replacement for a Sennheiser 1000 that made it through hundreds of shows. This is the same technology as the 1000, and I'm very happy with it. In fact, battery life has been improved - I can make it through a whole 4 hour night with one rechargeable 9v Lithium-Ion battery in the transmitter (I use an A/C adapter with the receiver).

Since this is the same technology as the Sennheiser 1000 series - and all digital - it's the ONLY wireless that I can use for 6 string bass. Compander circuitry found in traditional wireless units affect the tone, and are therefore useless to me. This baby puts out exactly what I put into it. I have not yet experienced any issues with RFI affecting the signal.

It seems very well made with one exception; the belt clip is weak and not made of quality steel. Mine bent and pulled out of the unit. I fixed the bends and put it back in, but ended up keeping it in my pocket. People who complain about the wire may not understand how the mini plugs work. You need to screw them in to th body which makes them secure and solid and helps create a good electrical contact. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!

This unit works right out of te box... nothing to tweak. The sound is as good as with a good patch cord and the range is more than adequate. I walked all over my house and it worked though walls. On an outside gig I got a good signal 50 feet out. And the price was right.

This wireless is not just the best in its price range, (Affordability, check) but I compared it to the practical use of a $700 Sennheiser system and I found no difference it the level of performance. Here's what happened when I had the $700 Sennheiser system i used to use. Power up the base, put batteries in the bodypack, then spend 3 hours trying to figure out how to make the two communicate and how to change all the high-end features inside to it doesnt clip, distort, etc. Yes, I figured it out and then it worked splendidly, but it certainly took a while to master. This Line6 gem, however, was a totally different story. Open the box, put the *INCLUDED* batteries in the base and the bodypack (the base can be powered by the BOSS pedal 9v power adapter, or batteries). Attach the cable. Press the power button on each and you're off and running. Literally a minute after opening the box, I was running around the house, testing its range. I haven't needed to look at the manual. The only selectable option is choosing one of 5 channels, which is far less customizable than the more spendy units, but how custom does a wireless need to be?
Sound
How is its Tone?
perfectly transparent and responsive. I forgot I had the bodypack in my pocket and tried to put the bass down, thinking it was 'plugged in' to the amp, not to my belt.

Ease of use is so simple that it makes me laugh. Plug it in to the guitar and plug the reciever to the power and to whatever pedal or amp youre going to use it on. turn both on and in most cases, channel 1 on both is perfect as it is. cant get easier than that, unless they include someone IN the package to do it all for you.
