General What is your overall opinion of this product? This is the best musical purchase I have ever made. This bass is amazing. It has become my main guitar. I will definitely be getting more of these as backups. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Stunning quality, and not just for an instrument in this price range. The workmanship is top notch. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? I really like the toggle switch for pickup selection as opposed to two volume knobs. On stage I prefer it simple. You can move from one tone to another much quicker. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Nice weight on this bass. Not too heavy, but definitely not too light. The neck is buttery smooth and narrower than most 5 strings. I prefer a narrower string spacing. This thing is very comfortable to play. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? The tone... Deep, resonant piano-like bass tone with a dark side. Growly, but very articulate. The midrange is punchy and full, simply awesome. The pickups are HOT. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is flawless. Pictures can't do it justice at all. The tobacco sunburst is beautiful. Looks great on stage, especially with all of the chrome. Everyone asks me about this bass after they see me play it. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? In this price range, this bass is untouchable. That is my opinion. I can't believe a bass this good is this inexpensive. Playability How was the action out of the box? I usually send all of my new basses to the shop for a full professional setup. I have yet to do that with this bass, and I have gigged it several times and play it every day. No buzzing, no fretting out, good intonation, only had to do a slight truss rod adjustment due to the tunings that I use.
