I bought this guitar because of a hearing defect from war....a less sparkly sound with depth would be the order of the day for me...I was right and This Classical Yamaha C40 did the job just nicely

I really like this guitar. It is very well made and, in my opinion, it sounds better than some classical guitars I’ve played that are much more expensive. This is a great value: You really get a lot for such a reasonably priced instrument.

I bought this guitar for a 14 yr old guitar student. The one that she started on and was borrowing from the school was a little smaller. However when she pick this one up, her smile was worth it. She told me that she loved the way it sounds and is so much easier to play.

I have been interested in learning to play classical guitar for years. I began researching to purchase a classical guitars for about six months. I decided to purchase a Yamaha C 40. I purchased my guitar through AMS online and it arrived on time and in excellent condition. I have had my guitar for about a week and it is fun to play and enjoy learning music on it. I am very pleased with my purchase and high recommend AMS.

Very nice entry level acoustic guitar. I haven't played a guitar since the 70's and wanted a guitar with Nylon strings to ease the re-entry on my finger tips.
Great value for the money.

The C40 is a well made beginner classical guitar. If it holds up as well as my other Yamaha guitars it will be well worth the price.

Your general opinion of this product.
I bought the C40 as an entry level instrument to learn classical technique and posture. It has served me well for the this
The action was higher than I am accustomed to so I lowered the saddle a bit. The 2" nut and wider string spacing makes for easier learning of the finger picking techniques needed for classical playing. The C40 is light and well sized for most any player, large or small.
The C40, in my opinion, has a wonderful tone. Warm, mellow and clear. Perfect for classical pieces.
The finish is impeccable. I found no imperfections anywhere. There were a few remnants of polishing compund left from the factory, but a soft cloth and a little rubbing left me with a beautiful glossy glow overall.
Again, the action was higher than I like but a little sanding of the saddle cured this. An adjustable truss rod would be nice, but on a guitar of this quality, at this price, I can live without it. Tonality is spot on. I have some D'Addario Pro*Art' strings at the ready, but so far I am pleased with the strings that came on the C40.

Nice finish; lightweight; yet rugged enough to transport
I've had it for about 1 year. No problems
Your general opinion of this product.
This was the right decision for a me, as a beginner. The product delivers as promised.
Feels good. I'm a beginner, so I don't really have anything to compare it to -- except that the strings are nylon, which are much easier on the fingers than steel. Comfortable neck.
Bright tone. It stays in tune.
Sweet. My friends think I paid hundreds for this guitar.
