The built-in EQ and compressor are nice. I like having big easy to use knobs. USB in and out are very nice to have. I can store backing trax on a USB thumb drive and play along with them. Cool! How playable do you consider this product to be? The manual is a mystery wrapped in a riddle. Even simple functions are buried in it, or not there at all. I had to consult a user forum to find out how to create a split. The operation of the CP50 is NOT intuitive and takes some getting used to. The patches are in no particular order and you have to search through to find them. Kind of surprising to see Yamaha having the same difficulties with manuals that they had 25 years ago with the DX7. Sound How is the tone? The sound is great. The piano is among the best I've heard. There is a wide variety of other sounds, more than you find in most stage pianos. Value Was this item an overall good value? It is a good value overall. It has a lot of features and sounds. You can split the kybd., you can even play .wav files and SMF files.
