These speakers are loud but also have a superb clarity to them. For genres like Hip Hop with low sub-bass below 45hz, get a subwoofer... but other than that, they have a serious punch to them.

So I was in the market for some new powered speakers. I have been running Mackie SRM 450's for the past 8 plus years. I had considered JBL as well QSC for new powered speakers. Bur after a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to go with these. They are crystal clear at any volume and have plenty of low end bass so you really don't have to lug a sub around with you. And with a 7 year warranty you can't go wrong with that. If you are in the market for some new powered speakers these are well worth the money!

I own two of these. The speakers are amazingly clean and loud as we use them for live performances as the mains. Outperforms the Qsc K-series in every way. Don't hesitate to buy you can't go wrong with Yamaha's exceptional warrantee either.

The output is has amazing audible quality. Even at high db everything is so clear, I love this Yamaha dsr115. I now have 4 and I'm happy.

Don't hesitate these things they can handle the abuse our church(5 singers,1bassist,1 guitarist 2 keyboards,2 brass) has 2 of these and the matching Dsr118 as a permit install and they do the job very well crystal clear and my god can these things rock......sorry qsc and jbl step aside to the new champ

no weight on this speaker ,if u have to get away from carrying amp and speaker
very easy to use one of the best out there
on time every and i put it down power on them for every time i play them 6hours r more they just dont stop taking it it keep giving me more and more thx yamaha for these

Feels very sturdy, I am impressed with the build quality.
Great frequency response, clarity, and plenty of headroom.
Couldn't be simpler. Basically plug and play, has options for a low cut and a multi band compression.
Im using this thing with a Fractal Audio Axe-FX and it's a perfect match. Very detailed sound and also has the punch and feel that I wanted.
