When I first looked into powered speakers I was leery. Bad experiences with Mackie and Pyle...but hey you get what you pay for right??? Well sometimes you get a bit more too!! That’s just how these speakers performed for me. Compact, lightweight, reasonably priced and truly pristine sound. Highly recommend!!

Purchased the two 12's and the single sub for use as a mobile DJ. I wanted a compact easy to setup/breakdown system that didn't compromise on sound. I compared against a similar QSC k12/KSub setup but the Yamaha provided similar to better sound for a lot less dollars. The tops to me sound better than the K12s the KSub sounds a bit beefier on the low end, but the DXR 12 holds it own pretty well and in the extended LF mode pumps some really nice bass. This 3 speaker setup is great for most small to medium events including weddings.
The sub has stereo in and can output to the two mains so it is well designed for a single or double sub setup. For larger events I can rent another small sub or add an 18" to the mix.
The 12"s can actually provide enough low end to do a small event without the Sub. I have actually brought the sub but left it in the truck a couple of times as I didn't need it.
The sub does not have casters, so I added a set of removable Ernie ball amp casters.
