Action How was the action out of the box? a little too high. I replaced the saddle with a TUSQ brand and sanded it down a fair bit to lower the action.also backed off truss rod one eighth turn to prevent buzz.now the action is perfect with no buzz when played hard. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? yamaha has a reputation to uphold. well made and very dependable. Reliability How has it stood up over time? still fairly new. the neck is prefect.make sure you have a guitar stand for it and a good enviroment. Overall Your general opinion of this product. plays and sounds better than some top-end brands.excellent value. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? feels like it wants to be played.finger picking with light strings sounds sublime.because of it's scale high notes and chords easy to reach.the neck is perfect for my relatively large hands, long fingers, very smooth playability. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? it can be bright and snappy or dark and smooth or in between, depends on how you set it up and play it. Not equipped with pickups.the Soundboard is solid sitka spruce of choice grade. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? like a brand new Martin D28.
Yamaha The name speeks for its self. You can't go wrong with a Yamaha

How was the action out of the box? Action was great. Needed very little tuning and it was so easy to tune. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seems to be well made. Yamaha is known for there quality and this guitar shows that. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it so no comment yet on the reliability but I have no worries. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This is a great guitar. Very pleased with the way it plays and the great craftsmanship. Best choice I could have made and the price is great and well worth it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This guitar plays great. Neck has a satin finish so your hand moves easily up and down the neck. No heavy but does not feel cheap. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Great tone. Has a nice rich smoothness that I love. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? No flaws what so ever. Beautiful pick guard and the finish is outstanding.
