Best first guitar EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PRSguitarplayer from U.S.A.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I havn't really beatn' it up too badly so don't ask me about that. Hasn't failed me yet. Inotation only went out once in 5 years! pretty good.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
For reliability, it's really about how you treat the guitar. If you ding it up every day then of course it's going to break!

Your general opinion of this product.
For starters and intermediate guitarists, this guitar is great. Solid wood top creates top notch sound. I've owned this guitar for 5 years and it's great. I've dropped it countless times and it holds up! Not to mention I got it signed by Doyle Dykes who said to me, "I had this guitar when I was [13]...".
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Neck is okay, I don't solo on acoustics so it doesn't bother me none.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Sounds almost like a Taylor would if it were this price.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
great.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
pretty good.

This guitar is very well made.I have played 5 or 6 guitars in this price range and none come close to the quality of the FG730s.Taylor has a guitar that sells for 650.00 i liked better but thats alot more money.
Reliability

Easy to play. The Neck is slim and feels great.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone is where this guitar stand out the most.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Perfect Finish. The dark Rosewood sides and back are beautiful and make this guitar look like it should cost alot more than it does.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action is perfect out of the box.I have read reviews saying the factory action on the FG730s is to high but for a acoustic i wouldn't want it lower.

Extremely well made. Best-made guitar for this price I know of. Dependability: I use a heavy pick and play hard. Not a problem so far.
Reliability

I've had it about 9 months, no problems.

I bought this in a music store - went in to buy strings and ended up playing this guitar. I've played 35 years and could not (and still can't) believe that a guitar this inexpensive could possibly produce such "Martin-like" tone and volume. It's way beyond amazing, trust me.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck is not as slim/thin/fast as I'd like, ideally, but once I start playing it, I forget all about it. It's sort of a Martin "vintage" neck, but without the "V" shape. This is a C shape, I suppose. The frets are too skinny, imo. Yamaha guitars are notorious for those itsy-bitsy fret wires - GET WITH IT, GUYS.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Deep, rich, but still with nice treble and mids. It has that natural "reverb" rosewood gives you. Has bass to spare. I actually owned this thing several months before I realized that the back and sides are a double-sided rosewood laminate. Don't let this bother you! Adds a bit to the weight, but really, it couldn't sound much better. I own Martins and Taylors, and honest, this one is not really outdone by them.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I have the bright sunburst: it's a knockout. Abalone rosette, tiny fret markers, just a very pretty guitar.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
A little higher than I like, but if you're only playing open chords, this makes it all the louder. I dropped the action to 2/32" and it still thunders. Intonation is great.
