This is an excellent acoustic guitar, well constrcuted with high-quality woods. It delivers excellent sound and maintains precisely tuned tones across the fretboard. The tuning machines for each string are consistent and require almost no re-tuning from day to day. Whether for live performance or recording, this is a highly recommnded acoustic guitar, especially for such an affordable price.

In my opinion Yamaha makes the best guitars period. I’ve tried them all, but Yamaha still has my vote. You can pay more, but you can’t go wrong with a Yamaha.

I played a 5 different FG800's in a store and they were all a little different. None bad just different. But one of them was just perfect. Easy to play, sounded really good and at $200 they can't be beat. I'm sure the other four would have been just as nice with a set-up done but The one I brought home didn't need a thing. Very happy with my Yamaha FG800!

Product Review
I recently retired from performing ( I'm 60 ) after doing it for 40 plus years and wanted a Acoustic that I could relax with ,but I didn't want to spend a fortune either. I've played and owned Taylors, Fenders, Epiphone, etc, and I have to say that this instrument really took me by surprise when I tested it out . The sound on this is akin IMO, to any of the Made in Mexico Martins that are being produced today but, this is much better made than those are . Of course I ended up buying it and as with any new Guitar, a setup is required . I put some Lemon Oil on the Fretboard and sanded down the stock saddle along with doing a slight truss adjustment. I then put on a new set of Elixirs 12-52 which really bought this to life. This one is without a doubt, a true player , especially with the satin finish neck which makes playability really easy . The stock Ping tuners hold tuning for what seems like forever and like I said, the sound and tone is just amazing. I love it !!!!

Product Review
This guitar was such a step up from my last dreadnought guitar. The body is so sleek, yet hefty enough for a clean, deep, sound. The neck is very smooth for easy fret changing, and the tortoiseshell accented pick guard makes it look much more expensive than what it costs. All around a very well made, affordable, easy to use guitar!

The product was very low cost, which i like. it has a very good tone! For such a low priced guitar my expectation wasn't very good due to the price, but when it arrived, i could see that i got my monies worth, and then some. I was very pleased with how fast it came, and the mint condition it was in.
