Great highs and lows, dreadnought quality sound. Looks beautiful, and feels great.

Feels good, not too heavy. Everything's pretty easy to get to.

Pickups are somewhat hot, but not over the top.

Superb finish. I wanted the black but am def not disappointed with the natural finish.

I've had this instrument for a while now and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I come back to it from an electric or 12-string phase and grab it from wherever I leaned it a week or 2 before (I don't baby my guitars) and it's in tune, the action is as I left it and it just keeps sounding better and better over time.

Neck and overall feel are right in the middle. Simple, easy-access controls, although the volume knob could stand to be a little easier to use..a little too small for me and tapered.

Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Haven't used the electronics a whole lot, but they also seem well-balanced and fairly sensitive.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Remarkable....virtually no flaws, well-fitted inlays throughout. Mellowing nicely with time.

Good to go; has never needed adjustment since.

Yes, Yes Yes... Fingerboard is Rosewood not black micarta like my Martin. Top is solid Sika Spruce and has Rosewood Back and Sides. Very much worth the money.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have only owned it a short time but it has the Dovetail which Yamaha use's on all guitars of any price, where as the other guitar makers only put it on the higher end acoustic's.

After watching a factory tour on U-Tube. Yamaha is giving you more for your money than a medium range Martin. Which I own, and I have a better quality guitar with my Yamaha than I do with my Martin.

A perfect size for a cutaway, feels great. The neck is smooth and fast. The controls are very easy to get to while playing.

Bright, snappy, dark and smooth all rolled into one. I play Blues, Rock and Gospel music.

Excellent, much better than expected for the price.
