I just purchased my Montage 7 and I am just blown away with the sounds that this keyboard can produce. I love the Super Knob how it is able to blend in different sounds and instruments. If you are looking for professional keyboard I would recommend checking out the Yamaha Montage. I would like to thank the good folks from American Musical for all of their help during the purchase of my Montage.

I've been using the Yamaha Montage now for several months (I have the montage 7), and have now used it long enough to give you my honest opinion regarding it.
I honestly and sincerely can say that I absolutely LOVE this keyboard! I've been playing and composing with synths and keyboards now for some 35 years and have owned over 100 synths and keyboard workstations over that period....yes, I have spent the better part of my income over those years on my passion, synthesizers and creating beautiful music with them. IMO Yamaha really has a winner here with the Montage series of workstations. The thing is built like a tank with all the sliders, knobs, wheels, keys, touchscreen, etc. feeling very good to the touch. It is also very gorgeous and looks stunning in my home studio sitting amongst all mu other synths. Most importantly though, it sounds absolutely gorgeous! From beautiful acoustic instruments to mind-blowing dream synth pads, the Montage really covers pretty much everything sound-wise that you would expect it to.
Before buying the Montage I owned another workstation keyboard (I won't name it) that was comparable in price and specs, but it never really jived with me, so I thought I was done with workstations, but then decided to take a chance and try one more time. Wow! I am sooooo very happy with my purchase of the Montage and plan on keeping it as the centerpiece of my synth studio for a long, long time.
If you are looking for a synth workstation and have the budget for it, I highly recommend giving any of the Montage series keyboard workstations a try.....I don't think you'll be disappointed. :)

A fantastic instrument for those looking to infuse a wealth of variety into their performances. I am a long time Yamaha user. From the DX7 to the Motif and beyond, the company has always created a solid line of keyboards. The Montage is another leap forward. If you are a fan of the Yamaha sound you will love this. The 76 key version is ideal for me and the various gigs I do, large and small. In addition to the factory sounds (including FM DX7 sounds), crafting wonderful acoustic pianos, electric pianos, or complex synths and orchestral parts is an ease and a joy. The super knob is incredible! Morphing from one sound to another is only limited by your imagination.

Best board out right now. Wanted the Kronos for some years but something told me to wait. Did my research on this. The new CFX Grand Engine is a beast. It’s makes the kronos German grand sound more like a toy. I’m big on every simple detail. Hands down, I would buy another. Hats off to Yamaha

A standard name in the music industry, Yamaha has continuously outdone themselves with this Montage series keyboards. The on board sounds and easy of use of this board are absolutely incredible. I got this keyboard for the keyboardist in my band, the Jeremy Turgeon Quintet, as he is an avid Yamaha user and he loves it. I spent some time with him noodling around on it and was completely blown away! Kudos to Yamaha in yet another fantastic product! I highly recommend this board to anyone looking to upgrade older gear or anyone looking for a new board overall!

Great sounds come out of this board! And the super knob is my best friend! I bought the 88 key first and loved the hammer action but it was waaay too big and heavy to carry around. The 76 key is a great balance. I’m not made I paid so much. It was worth it.

The Yamaha brand has been a Pinnacle's force in music and production. I purchased the Montage 7 and all I can say is Wow!!!! The sound quality, Overall engineering, creative Sparks are a breeze now with this Monster!!!!!

This is truly and all in one keyboard. All the sounds I need are right at a touch with no interruptions. I have created custom patches for all of my gigs. Set the patch and play al night.
