General What is your overall opinion of this product? This baby is everything I've expected and more! Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Of course there's a difference between the moxf & the motif xf but the light weight makes it great for a travel piece, since I don't like toting heavy things. Ease of Use How user friendly is it? Would it work well for a beginner, intermediate or experienced player? I think this is more user friendly for the intermediate musician. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? Great features! I'm well on my way to learning this baby inside & out! Sound How is the sound quality? How does the sound compare to other products you've use? Amazing sound quality & I can't wait to learn more about all the sound on this bad boy! Feel How is the feel of the keys? Are the controls laid out well? The keys feel great to me... I'm coming from using a korg Triton le & it'd a great feel!!! Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? I think it was a very reasonable price... I
Interesting, light, and powerful!

General What is your overall opinion of this product? I've previously owned the moX model, so a lot of this will come as the differences between moX and moXF. Overall, the build quality is about the same as the moX. The style, menus, look and feel will be very familiar (which is a good thing!). Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? The quality feels like it got MUCH better. With the new flash board, it makes using the moX look like ancient technology. More sequencing, faster boot speeds, and more control with effects. Ease of Use How user friendly is it? Would it work well for a beginner, intermediate or experienced player? Very easy to use. I saw reviews where people were having trouble using the mo* product line and having trouble (coming from a KORG). Watch 1 or 2 videos and use the category search button. The menus are EXACTLY the same as the moX. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? As far as additional (from the moX), I went from the 6 model to the 8 - so the upgrades for me were weight (nice sturdy feel), the semiweighted keys, and the bigger library. Sound How is the sound quality? How does the sound compare to other products you've use? Yamaha Grand Pianos... nothing better in this world. Feel How is the feel of the keys? Are the controls laid out well? Keys themselves are semi-weighted on this model. It has great action, that's comparable to $4000 workstations. The controls themselves are clearly labeled and laid out. I had no issues moving around. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Price is pretty ridiculous. For the features, quality, and price - this makes this station an overall steal. Great job Yamaha and AM.

General What is your overall opinion of this product? The MOXF8 brings synth, workstation, samples, DAW, remote, interface all up-to-speed with the latest operating systems including Windows 8.1 and Mac OSX 10.9 Mavericks by means of Yamaha's new USB driver and audio interface. The MOXF now has 128 polyphony, 8 insertion effects, all of the MOTIF.XF sounds, and Flash memory to load in XS/XF samples. The USB audio interface works with Mac and PC easily, without driver or configuration hassles. The MOXF also has the MOTIF.XF's Record Rehearse Mode. You can download 'Inspiration In A Flash' and 'CP1 Piano' (free from Yamaha) and you can load any of your XS/XF samples into Flash on the MOXF. The MOXF is tremendously much more than the previous MOX and now including all of the XF sounds the MOXF is truly, the affordable workstation. Being a MOTIF.XS owner, I am excited to have the MOXF8 in my studio. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? Build quality is good; comparable to the MOX and MOTIF XS. You can create ANY genre of music with this workstation. The new pianos are a joy! Ease of Use How user friendly is it? Would it work well for a beginner, intermediate or experienced player? Users familiar with Yamaha MOTIF EX/XS/XF or MOX will be right at home. Brand new noobs will need to take time to learn the MOXF but will find it easy to learn. Lots of videos online to watch which can help. There is also a MOX8 video you can buy at Motifator.com and I am sure they will make a specific MOXF video. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? Whereas I already play MOTIF XS, I'm glad the new MOXF has all of the MOTIF XS sounds and pianos. This alone is such a plus. Also the Record Rehearse Mode is welcomed as well as the ability to save samples to Flash. Sound How is the sound quality? How does the sound compare to other products you've use? Having the XF sound set, the MOXF sounds awesome. Out of the box the MOXF comes with 3 really decent pianos! Feel How is the feel of the keys? Are the controls laid out well? The MOXF8 has Yamaha's Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keybed. If you play other keyboards you will experience some adjustment. However, I think the action grows on you. Also, be sure to try EVERY velocity curve setting to suit your playing style! Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Yamaha XF for $1700 dollars! If you want 8 sliders and larger screen, you can do that via Wi-Fi with an iPad. If you want sampling capability, then shell out the $3500 dollars for the XF. But with the exception of "sampling" I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the MOXF.
