Big upgrade from its predecessor !
Quality:
Knobs, switches, and jacks all feel sturdy.
Features:
More features than I need. The tuner is better for bass than most of the other tuners I have.
Sound:
The compressor and amp models are quite good. The presets are fun and helped me zero in on the tones I was looking for. I've managed to dial in very good clean, slap, 60s R&B and rock tones. I'm not as happy with the EQ, which is a good deal harder to get right than on my amp and does introduce some sound artifacts (though I could also use my amp's EQ).
Playability and Feel:
With only a two character display, the user interface would have to be clever. The three parameter knobs are a big step up from the 506II, though I do need the manual in hand except for the simplest tweaks.
Tone:
For the price, this is an outstanding piece of gear.
Finish:
A much heftier piece of gear than the Zoom 506II -- a good looking stompbox.
Action:
OK
