I'm a guitar player who's always played bass on my own recordings. Late in life, I've been asked to play bass in a couple of bands. I have multiple options for playing live,but this unit will do everything I need and it's compact and lite! Rehearsed a few times with it and will be using it direct from here on out.

Easy to customize and save settings. A myriad of tone possibilities. I am a beginning bass player and controls are intuitive and easy to step through. I like that it has low noise. The only knock I have on this effects pedal and basically all of them is that I wish their output was matched so that when you try a sound at the volume you want and go to the next effect, the volume about knocks you off the chair.

With the effects processor I don't need a floor board of various pedals to create such gigantic sounds. It is very easy to operate. You keep getting great surprised effects that make you want to play or create a new band or project. Very well done.

These days I normally prefer to play without any effects, but I do enjoy having fun while playing my bass and this pedal brings back a lot of great funky sounds from my pass. With that all being said I have taken a new vested interest in bass guitar effects and if you are also into effects, then I highly recommend that you check out this pedal from Zoom.

I was highly skeptical about this unit since I have had such terrible experiences with multi-effects units. Although highly recommended, it had in my opinion a few shortcomings that I didn't like. The largest of which was no DI. I was blown away when I found this out. Another issue was the double row of foot switches. I was sure that they would be a royal pain.
Well, I finally bit the bullet. WoW! This thing absolutely kicks butt!
I run this through the effects loop of my combo and it is dead quiet. No hum, hissing or weird noises. Hooked up like this there is ZERO need for a DI. I use the one on the amp.
The foot switches purpose was well thought out IMHO. Super easy to go from effect/effect, patch/patch and patch/effect. There was a slight learning curve but the way they are set up made so much sense that it's EASY to get the hang of.
The effects and simulators are top notch. I have owned and currently own some I these, I was really impressed.
And the drum machine rocks!

This pedal is fantastic! I have had it for about 2 weeks and I have barely scratched the surface as to what it can do. For years I've been using an old Boss GT-6B, great pedal for it's age, but I've found it's footprint is to large for some of the small clubs I've been playing lately and I was looking for something smaller but easy to navigate with my feet. I initial intended to use it in tandem with my Tech 21 Sansamp VT Deluxe for effects only into a Carvin MB12 bass combo for my stage monitor and out to the PA for front of house. I then dug into the amp and cab models, specifically the Ampeg SVT and I'm blown away! I can easily get a usable tone and can now leave the Sansamp at home. The effects sound very natural and are easy to tweak. The amp and cab models plus the ZNR noise reduction alone are worth the price.

love it, can't say i love it more than the original b3 but its great, the synth patches are definitely more controllable and usable on a gig... there are some sounds from the original b3 i wanted that just aren't there but i do know there are additional sounds that can be downloaded.
