A bargain at any price
Quality:
The quality of this product is very good. But here's a chance to vent some of my pet peeves. The tuner leaves a lot to be desired...it is almost impossible to see on a lit stage and is impossible to see outdoors. The pedal doesn't have the flexibility of assignment that the ZOOM GFX-8 I used before the G7.1 did. It took me a while to adapt.
Sound:
I prefer the Zoom sound to anything else I've tried. As a matter of fact, this is the 4th of six Zoom products I've bought BECAUSE of the superiority of their sound. I use the unit either directly into the power amp on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or into the front of my Fender Pro Junior. The tweaking that's required to change from one amp to another only takes a minute. And both amps, which sound good by themselves, sound awesome with the Zoom. I get more compliments from fellow players.
Reliability:
It has stood up over time. But the time has been long, and it's starting to show it's age (though as Indy Jones said it's not the years it's the mileage). The microswitches that are attached to the circuit board are starting to wear out and therefore are becoming unreliable. So I'm thinking maybe it's time for a new one...But as soon as I do that, Zoom will come out with something even more fantastic!!!
Overall:
I bought this unit within a month of it becoming available and have used it at nearly every gig I've done since...it can't be beat.

WOW ! blues heaven
Sound:
Tone is the closest thing I've seen to a vintage amp.
I use a LP and tele /w P-90s and I love the break -up and response to pick attack. Pretty much like a tube amp
Reliability:
Only have had it 3weeks so time will tell. It appears well built with all metal case and such
Overall:
I am amazed at the amp modeling. I use primarily the fender tweed,Marshall '62 Bluesbreker and fender twin clean and all knock me out! the sustain for single note blues runs is authentic

best floor processor i've ever used
Quality:
sometimes some of the distortions can sound a little too digital but you can really tweak the EQ and compression and reverbs to help get a more organic sound if you put some effort into it. AND!!! There is absolutely no drop when switching patches!!!!! that's my favorite thing about this compared to every other floor unit. I HATED when i'd switch a patch and there would be a split second of silence. not with this one!!
Reliability:
i play for hours every day and have had mine for over 2 years. never had one problem with it!
Overall:
overall Awesome!!! for anything. home, studio, or stage. i've done all three with it.
Playability and Feel:
if you've used other effects processors then you'll be able to jump right in. but if you're inexperienced it's really easy to just play with and try a bunch of different things and see what you come up with. just take a few hours and experiment.
Tone:
like i said the distortions can seem pretty sterile but some tweaking can help eliminate a lot of that. other than that its all good
Finish:
good. who really cares about how a floor unit looks?
Action:
easy to understand and navigate.

Zoom G7.1ut Rocks!!! Grate buy.
Quality:
Tank, pedals are very smooth. Heavy constructions, looks very appealing on stage. All knob switches are good but it does not have the pedal click feel. However, it does what it suppose to do well. The WAH/Volume pedal is very smooth no complain.
Reliability:
So far so good.
Overall:
Buy this if you want a nice multi pedal. Easy to setup. It has USB connection for recording with Cubase LE 4. To download patches you need USB to MIDI interface. I do all my own sound the way I like, it has tons of useful effects. It's gig read IMO.
Playability and Feel:
Wonderful product. Might want the G9.2tt.
Tone:
Hook this up to a Crate V18 212. Sound wonder, need some tweaks on the gain and volume. With some of the distortion you do not want to over load the gain on the amp, it can be muddy. Low gain with high volume it sings. This is true with any pedals you buy, but the true tone is with the Pre-amp tube. I think it is better then the VOX. BUY IT you would not be disappointed.
Finish:
Grate look it has a wow factor. BTW American Musical ROCKS!!!
Action:
Works 100% as any tube devices need to wait a view seconds for the tube to warm up.
