Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The product's chasis is medal while the two pedals are a combination of the former and plastic. Because of the tubes and metal chasis, the pedal is kind of heavy and awkward to carry. I wouldn't want to drop the pedal for fear of the tubes breaking. Other than that, however, the pedal is really well-built, and the pedals are excellent for volume control and expression. The Z-Pedal, a 3-dimensional pedal exclusive to the G9.2tt, allows you to further customize expression. I've yet to fully utilize this new feature, but I can say that the Z-Pedal does pose some interesting possibilities. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had the pedal for about a month, but I don't see the thing breaking down for a few years, perhaps even longer! Overall Your general opinion of this product. Another, older guitar player introduced me to the Zoom brand of pedal. I started out with the G9's baby brother, the G2Nu. After months of playing with the G2, I was extremely satisfied. The only disappointment came from the G2Nu's lack of an expression pedal. When I saw the G9.2tt, I immediately said: "It must be mine." While the additional knobs and parameters took some getting used to, the transition from the G2Nu to the G9 was almost seamless and relatively easy. Since buying the pedal, I have replicated all the tones I had on the G2Nu and dialled them into the G9.2tt. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It is heavy. Controls can be kidn of frustrating at first. But, with a little studying of the manual, anyone can figure this bad boy out. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This pedal has the possibilitiy for any tone you want. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The pedal console overall is sleek and sexy. This thing will look good no matter what amp you have it wired to! Action How was the action out of the box? The sounds out of the box were quite satisfying, but still left something to be desired. However, I hardly use defaults.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Being made of metal, I expect to have this pedal for a very long time. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had this product for a day so I'll get back to you on this one. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I have a Zoom 3030, but I left it back home, so I needed a replacement. I got this. I can't be happier. Between this product and my Epiphone Nighthawk, I can get any sound imaginable. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The knobs are stiff but sturdy. Pedals feel firm. The nine foot switches make it easy to control the individual effects. You can't ask for more. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Any sound you could possibly want, you can get out of this pedal. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Gorgeous. Black and silver. It gets dusty quick though. Action How was the action out of the box? It's a pedal. You can't beat 3 expression pedals.
This pedal will make just about any tone you want!!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Definitely seems high quality, but only owned it for a month. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Very rugged, to which I was very surprised as I own other Zoom stuff (2 pedals and 2 drum/ rhythm machines which have held up moderately well but are typically made of plastic and the durability is limited in my experience. The G92TT is made of steel I think, and is pretty heavy duty and probably weighs 10-12 pounds nice for something you are using you're feet on. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Amazed how great a value this is. Relatively simple if you look at how the board is physically laid out much less confusing than the average. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? As mentioned earlier is made of steel I think, and feels very sturdy under your feet. Doesn't have that toy feel that some other zoom stuff has, This has that indestructible feel like a Boss pedal. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Everything you can imagine and then some. With this if you were on a budget you could get by with a crappy but loud amp, and a moderately priced computer and use this as an interface to record, and the crappy but loud amp as your live rig. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Very sleek and high tech especially in dark areas like clubs. Good visibility of the lighted control screen was a bonus. Action How was the action out of the box? Excellent, smooth as silk.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Definitely a very well made product. I've had some small zoom pedals in the past and they all were very dependable. I've come to find Zoom products to be top notch. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Don't know I've only had it a month, but from talking to other players who have it, and from the research I did on it, I don't expect any problems. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I love this product. It is well built with solid construction. It has the capability for some amazing tones and distortion that can blow your face off. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? As I stated before I haven't had the pedal long enough to form an opinion on this section Reliability How has it stood up over time? Haven't had it long enough yet to rate effectively, but it does seem fairly sturdy. Overall Your general opinion of this product. The price is well worth the delays, reverbs, and chorus alone. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Alot of the presets just show off what the pedal can do, so you will need to do some tweaking to find a sound you like, but don't get too frustrated. With enough adjustment, you can pull off just about any tone, it won't be perfect, but it will be convincing enough. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone is subjective, as it is personal. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The black and silver finish does look nice Action How was the action out of the box? The footswitches don't actually "click" like they appear they should, but they seem sturdy none the less

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It seems to be build well. The pedal feel fine and it is made of metal of plastic. The knobs are still tight and solid. Reliability How has it stood up over time? It has been pretty good. I take it back and forth from home to band rehearsal every week and its been fine. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Yes, it is made VERY well. Dependable? Ive owned it for over a year and have had NO problems. WHATSOEVER Reliability How has it stood up over time? Heavy and Solid. Its made to take a beating. The knobs are metal and sturdy, unlike MANY FX pedals ive played with. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Wow.. so many options and tweaks.. ANY sound you can imagine pumps out of this beast. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It Amplifies the sounds that are in my head... it plays exactly what i hear and want to hear. It would feel like another limb of my body if I could "feel" it per-se Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The overall look of this pedal is, well as you can see, beautiful. The paint is a dull black of a kind of thick matte texture. Very Tough. Action How was the action out of the box? The only thing i can say about this that could be considered a downfall is the playability out of the box. It took me weeks just to tweak my sound. But thats only becaus i found exactly what i was looking for.. MY sound. Yes, i had to search for a while, but damn.. it was worth it. And, yes, i am anal when it comes to tone.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Extremely well built, very solid and heavy. Pedal actions are adjustable and very smooth, foot switches are rock solid. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had it a month, but use it daily and not a single problem thus far. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Very nice, quality construction. Sounds it produces are simply amazing and infinite possibilities can be achieved. This pedal is much larger than it looks in the photos, but def. not a problem...more of an advantage for me. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? If you read the instructions (which are well written) and you've used like pedals in the past, you will find this to be very intuitive and "easy" to figure out. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Looks like it. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Built like a tank. I have had it for several months. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This is the best effects unit I have owned in over 30 years of playing, including Boss pedals and Korg and ART effects units. I use it mainly with the Surf Rock and Fender patches, for recording with a made in Mexico Fender Telecaster into a Zoom R16 recorder with the R16 recorder's insert guitar effects. This combination lets me record anything from slightly to heavy breaking Fender tube sounds I have been searching for, for many years. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Switches and toggles all feel solid. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Best authentic tube amp electric guitar tones I have ever seen in one box. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Looks cool, black metal cabinet with silver knobs, and blue led screen, and red and green led's. Action How was the action out of the box? It took a while to learn to tweak the patches with the knobs by trial and error to fit my guitar and recorder. But it was worth it. I played with the software but don't think I need to use it. Once I tweaked my favorite patches I saved them all as U0 patches 1 to 5 to make it easy to select with just one toe tap.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The quality seems to be top notch so far... Reliability How has it stood up over time? I can only go by the reviews I have read, because I have only had it for four days...I only read about two bad reviews... Overall Your general opinion of this product. I have been recording since 2005 and had gotten spoiled to doing what I needed to do with my tone with my DAW and a Vamp-2. I needed something for a live situation that would deliver the same tone but in real time and not be cumbersome on stage. I think this is going to fit the bill. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The switches buttons and doo dads seem to be well laid out... Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This thing will make just about any tone you can dream up...I really like the Z-Pedal..The editor software is not that great but it works just fine... I did a practice run through my DAW and I did not have to add anything to the mix and it sounded great...I used the same preset live and it was just as good...not having to worry about two settings, one for recording and one for live is going to be a good thing... Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Black and silver... Action How was the action out of the box? Damn heavy...It needs some handles on it...

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? YES YES YES. My other zooms are made of or have plastic pieces. This thing is a tank. I think it will out last any of the others i have ever owned. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've had it for 3 or 4 months and it is a tank. It has actual tube amps (2) in it so I am careful with it. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Holly crap this is an awesome effects processor. I play metal mostly, and jazz, blues, grunge, funk etc. This blows everything else out of the water. Screw digitech and boss. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It's a heavy one. With all of it's greatness it is super hard dragging it aroung on my bike to practice. But I don't take the bus unless I have to. I like to bike so it is a little heavy for the trip. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Awesome. Just stop reading this and buy it. They don't sell it at any stores which sucked. I wanted to try it first but Im glad I just bought it. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Yeah for the price, this is a good unit. I am very happy with mine and have had quite a few compliments on my sound since I started using it. I have mine in front of my amp, but you can also use it through the amp effects loop. I prefer it between the guitar and the amp input though because through the effects loop, the Zoom becomes your pre-amp and I find that it feeds back a lot on quite a few of the settings, even with the output switched to -4 db, I still get a squeal. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Well, I've had it for about 6 or 7 weeks. The 2nd day I had it I gigged with it and it proved to be quite dependable. I have since gigged with it three additional times with no backup and I'm not concerned. I have extra 12AX7 Pre-amp tubes that I carry with me for my amp anyway, so if I blow a tube I can always change it out. The tubes are well protected under the chassis, so unless I throw the thing at a wall, I don't think I have to worry about damaging the tubes. I do carry it around in a Gator hard case with some cables just to protect it. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Well made heavy construction with good solid vacuum switches. It has a really nice look to it. With two expression pedals, it has a real uniqueness about it. It took me a couple of hours of messing around with it and going back and forth between the unit and the manual before I was fairly comfortable making patch adjustments. I've had it for about 45 days now and I'm getting pretty good at making changes and saving new settings to the User banks. The midi connection to PC does not seem to work so well on mine. I gave up after a few tries. Don't really need it anyway. The unit is simple enough to operate once you've spent some time with it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Has 2 modes play and manual. The play mode basically lets you switch between banks and patches within the banks. The manual mode lets you turn effects on and off while in a patch inside a bank. It's a little confusing at first but once you realize that it is more of a different levels type of setup, it starts to make sense. Pick a patch, switch to manual mode and turn effects on and off when you need them. I have a boost pedal connected via the internal loop. I use the boost pedal to get the volume up a little bit during solos. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I've used mine with both single coils and Dimarzio, EMG and Seymour Duncan Humbuckers. This unit sounds great with all my guitars. I think it is a good investment. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The black chassis is cool looking with the stainless steel knobs and stainless steel trim around the pedals. The tuner is very accurate but the display is a little tough to read. If you have any lights shining on you, it's tough to see it at all. It is a cool looking unit though with the red lights all lit up against the black and chrome look. Action How was the action out of the box? It is usable right out of the box with the built-in pre-sets. I used a few of the pre-sets to build my own sound. I think this unit does well for what it is. I've had many different multi-effects units and for the money, so far this is the best one I've come across. I have a digitech GSP 1101 and this unit is quite comparable to that with respect to build quality and effects sounds. Fewer pre-amp options and cabinet models, but I usually only need one or two different settings and a clean tone and I'm good. Therefore this unit works for me fine.

Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone for days! I have been playing guitar for 25 years and have owned tons of pedals and multi effects from Boss, Digitech, and Line 6 just to name a few. There may be fancier units. I know people are doing many things with multi effects units these days such as recording, stage, practice, world tours, and whatever. I'm sure there are units out there that have more high tech, input/output functions but if you want a multi effects that just sounds great, built well, and simple to use, look no further. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Made extremely well, super dependable, can be used as a floor proc or as an actual preamp. Has the +4db and -10db cut switches for both the In/Out and the Effects Loop! Reliability How has it stood up over time? PERFECT!! I've had mine for 3 months now and it's just like the day I got it. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This is the product I've been seeking for SOOOOOO LOOOONG!! This will truly make your rig sound "tubish". I use it as a preamp in my rackmount setup and it sounds very similar to the amps it's supposed to model. I seriously love this proc!! I just have one small issue, you can't set a preamp setting to have a OD feeding into the amp. I.e., let's say you wanted to make a Boogie amp but have a TS808 feed into that. Because of the FX setup you get either or, not both. Because they put the stompbox models in the preamp section, so you have to pick either an amp to sim or a pedal to sim. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Built rock solid! Easy to learn to configure. I'm still not done finding out all the cool stuff this thing does! Z-PEDAL ROCKS!!!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? footswitches smooth & quiet. z-pedal is nice, but rtfm cautions about stepping hard on z swung all the way out, so i programmed it into my patches, but lock it unless needed. can navigate banks/patches via knob or footswitch. solid recording features (can eff. send clean sig. for ex.): cab sim w/mic placement, mic/line level outs. midi control (mstr/slve) & so forth Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? has a honk to it, tube component of gain can be adjusted in pre & post stages (see: sound) to taste. like any fx proc, u have 2 be aware of the interaction between the mods u are using in a patch and tweak accordingly. well worth it however. after a couple of tweak sessions, brought 2 rehearsal & recvd favorables. still tweaking & discovering what works best on my rigs Finish How did the stain or paint job look? sturdy & chromy Action How was the action out of the box? just as advertised. started @ 1st user patch, found preamp i liked, fool with lvls, eq's (or not) etc. know what patches i want for gen. anywhere use. g9's patch & bank capacity allow comfortable "room 2 grow".
