Great Box for the money!
Quality:
I have two 9120s, they are still running 18 years later. Zoom builds good gear. If it is DOA (happens) AMS will take care of you without hesitation.
Ease of Use:
All important funtions are one button or a "shift" + button away. Basic use was obvious, advanced features are easy to figure out. Documentation is extensive and task based.
Sound:
Sound is great, samples can end a little abruptly but fit really doesn't matter unless you are playing jazz at 40 bpm.
Value:
Fantastic for $150. I used this to add a separate stereo channel for cymbals on my Roland SPD-20 based kit. Midi works great, interface is fast and full featured. but instrument numbers appear to be fixed (they do meet the midi specs).
Durability:
Sturdy plastic case assembled on a steel base with THICK feet. pads are kinda rubbery and dynamics can be controlled with experimentation and PRACTICE (like most instruments ;) If you have trained/trainable fingers this device is very ergonomic to play (both the drums and the bass).

Pleasant suprise from a small cheap beat box
Quality:
Ya, good hard plastic seems sturdy. Pads are responsive and not stiff. I love the battery power idea that i can make beats anyware.
Ease of Use:
Big problem for live use is no dedicated tempo knob or wheel. Also no numeric entry keypad to search for patterns quickly. Programing beats is much easier than software. Easier to do than even my MPC500. Big bummer is could not find way to offload my patterns, also, no MIDI out.
Sound:
I wasn't expecting much for the price, but this unit kits butt. Nice punchy, beefy sounds that makes you want to jam to it. Of course not the range of software, but who wants to always have to drag out your computer? Bass sounds are OK.
Value:
For the price of a box of software, you got drums ready right out of the box. No load times, setups etc. Half the patterns though are too exotic to be practical and are named too generic. Samba,Mambo under Latin? Polka under Country? Come on,organize them better. The price is a steal, looks cool with all the lights blinking. Clearly made mostly for rock.
Durability:
Small, light, hard solid plastic. I mean come on, what do want for the price?
