Steel Panther, for the uninitiated, is a band from Los Angeles, California known for their immense riffs and humorous lyrics as well as their exaggerated on-stage personas that reimagine and parody the glam metal music and lifestyle of the 1980s. The band began to gain popularity on the Sunset Strip during the early 2000's under the name Metal Shop (soon changed into Metal Skool, then into Steel Panther). Their lineup consists of vocalist Michael Starr, drummer Stix Zadinia, bassist Lexxi Foxxx, and guitarist Satchel.

Steel Panther released their major record label debut, Feel the Steel in October 2009 and it debuted at #1 on the Billboard Comedy chart, #123 on the Billboard 200 chart and would eventually peak at #98 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Steel Panther continued their revival of the 80's heavy metal genre with their sophomore effort titled Balls Out released through major record label, Universal Republic in November 2011. Balls Out debuted at #1 on the UK iTunes Rock chart surpassing Megadeth's TH1RT3EN and Lou Reed's and Metallica's Lulu. Balls Out also debuted at #4 on the US iTunes Rock chart, #40 on the Billboard 200 chart and at #1 on the Billboard Comedy chart.

Following a UK arena tour in London with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, the band played to sellout crowds in Australia. Now you can catch Steel Panther on the road as they tear up Europe this summer in a series of festival appearances, then it's back to the States for the regular residencies at the House of Blues in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

For a band that wants to bring back what made the 80's great, what could be a better guitar for them to play than Kramer? Today, Kramer is once again at full strength and poised to take the world of metal by the horns. With Kramer's newest and baddest models ever along with our classic designs known around the world, the original heavy metal guitar company returns as the leanest, loudest, and meanest shred division of the Gibson family. That's why Satchel and Lexxi reach for the Kramer Pacer and the D-1 Bass when they are ready to rock!
