    Pure Bi-Amplified Power
RPM800 offers pure and accurate frequency response from 38Hz to 30kHz. The 120-Watt distributed Class A/B provides the woofer and tweeter dedicated amplification—80 Watts to the woofer, 40 Watts to the tweeter—meaning you get ultra-efficient power and minimal distortion. The flared rear-firing bass port delivers low-frequency depth and definition.

    Meticulous Control
Dedicated proximity and EQ-tailoring controls give you the ability to fine-tune the speaker in diverse mixing environments. RPM800 also features HF Trim, MF Boost, and LF Cutoff controls, which allow you to find the right balance in any environment. The included monitor isolation pad dramatically decreases structure-borne resonances, and the integrated radio frequency protection preserves signal purity. RPM800 includes XLR, balanced ¼-inch TRS, and RCA inputs.

    Solid to the Core
RPM800’s cabinet is painstakingly reinforced to minimize flex, combating unwanted coloration while blocking anomalies and sound artifacts from polluting your mix. The no-compromise build quality is reflected even in components you’ll never see such as the recess-mounted amp, on/off transient protection, and 14-gauge wiring to transducers. RPM800 also features a built-in output current limiter, over-temperature limiter, and subsonic filter—a full array of top-notch components that make all the difference in the purity that you hear.

What is your opinion of this product?
When they arrived I was shocked at the size ,I guess I didn't pay attention to the dimensions given . For a 8" speaker , that cabinet is big. Tthe construction is great . The gloss black finish & the red cones make them stand out .. I set up my mixer & ran everything into the mixer , Korg 3Xkeyboard, iMac , Fostex digital. Out into the speakers .. I was very impress with the full sound these spks put . My stereo keyboard sound incredible ..overall these spks are worth every $$$.. I wish they made these speakers with a tollex cabinet & id buy 2 more to use on gigs .

    Very impressive sound!
What is your opinion of this product?
I checked out a lot of monitors before buying these. The highs are crisp, the Lows have quite a bit of punch in the mid range is right where it should be, and with the multi switches on the back you can fine tune it to your needs. I'm very impressed and very happy with what I have and I'm very picky.

These monitors are Huge & worth every penny!!
What is your opinion of this product?
I am a Producer/Engineer and Studio owner of Dream 1st Studios! I have a recording studio with a control room that has KRKs NS10s and Adam monitors so I know quality and those monitors will forever sound great but we just built a new production room for our producer/songwriter clients and these RPM800 sound and look amazing in the new room! I'm actually kind of jealous that I don't get to sit front of them all day but every client that has used the production room has been blown away by these monitors and being apart of the Akai family owning every MPC from the 2000XL-Renaissance we are totally honored to own these monitors in our studio! Thanks AKAI for these Huge Studio Monitors that honestly are way bigger and better built then the KRK V8s that used to be in the production room!

What is your opinion of this product?
I was using KRK Rokit 8 Generation 3's and the KRK 10S subwoofer and was happy with them. My intention ws to keep the Akai's as backups. The only reason I bought the Akai RPM800's is because they were on the weekly special for $99 each and they normally sell for $300 ($50 more than the Rokit 8's)elsewhere, it was an offer I couldn't refuse. Out of box experience was exceptional. Heavy build quality, nice shiny stylish finish, rugged heat sinks on the back along with all the connections you need. The sound was incredibly clear and accurate in fact I could even hear my KRK 10S sub so I cranked the volume on the back of the sub to the max and still couldn't hear the sub. These Akai cabinets are a bit larger than the Rokit 8's and have 40 watts more power per speaker than the Rokit 8's as well. Long / short: the KRK Rokit 8's are now in the closet and the Akai's are my main monitors now. In a side by side comparison it's not even close in detail and power. Very satisfied.

$199 for the pair and the reviews were good
What is your opinion of this product?
I've only had these for about a week and they are huge monitors. I sold my Yamaha HS5s and bought these for $199. I wanted more low end and a more powerful monitor. I will probably buy a set of 5" Avantone supercubes to go along with these because I'd like to be able to mix on 5s as well. I haven't adjusted the proximity controls yet but the response is pretty flat and they throw out a lot more sound. The panning in my mix is more discernable and now that I can hear more of the bass response I'm hoping that this may help with EQ'ing.

    Pleasantly surprised by these monitors!
What is your opinion of this product?
Rock solid monitors! I was looking for some inexpensive 8" monitors to create songs and playback. I was considering the JBL's or KRK's, but these fit the bill perfectly especially for the price. I mix on my Adams and NS10's, but these sound awesome for my intended use. I am very particular about the sound in my room. I've owned everything in the last 25 years.

I love these speakers they look cool and sound great 10 out of 10. defiantly good for mixing music on and thats what I use them for in my home studio. I given these as a gift to upgrade from the GT Studio Monitors. These have made a big Improvement in my mixes.
