The powerhouse Orion Studio is a Thunderbolt and USB interface packed in only 1U rackspace. The Orion Studio delivers a heavyweight feature set: the fastest AD/DA chip set on the market, incredible routing flexibility and Antelope Audio's renowned sonic depth and clarity.
Despite its diminutive size, Orion Studio is a professional tool designed and built without compromise. Throughout the Thunderbolt and USB connectivity, Orion Studio is able to simultaneously process 32 I/O of 192 kHz audio at dizzying speeds of 100uS round trip delay, making it the fastest AD/DA converter in its class. Further, Orion Studio features 12 extremely transparent microphone preamplifiers with phantom power, 16 analog outputs and a pair of mastering-grade monitor outputs, two hardware inserts, two re-amps and a talkback mic.

"Orion Studio brings the ultimate in flexibility and sonic integrity to a demanding new generation of recording engineers and musicians," commented Igor Levin, CEO and Founder of Antelope Audio. "With its blazing speed, flexible signal routing and sonic purity, Orion Studio levels the playing field for musicians and engineers who want to achieve uncompromising results while taking up a relatively compact physical footprint."
All Antelope interfaces including Orion Studio feature Antelope’s unique & powerful hardware-based audio effects platform. This custom FPGA -based (Field Programmable Gate Array) platform not only guarantees the lowest sound latency on the market when creating and streaming multiple mixes, but provides Antelope’s devices with massive hardware modeling capabilities.
It includes a constantly growing library of over 35 effects: vintage and contemporary guitar amp & cab simulations, plus Antelope’s very own enhanced versions of legendary studio gear.
Orion Studio's lightning fast conversion capability enables users to take advantage of realtime effects during the recording and mixing process. For example, Orion Studio's re-amping feature — which routes signals through a pair of real transformers — is ideal for musicians, who can access and manipulate a host of authentic sound effects while monitoring in real time.
Flexible Signal Routing and Mixing Capabilities
Orion Studio is totally controllable via a user-friendly desktop applet available for both OS X and Windows operating systems. The control panel builds on the logic and flexibility of Zen Studio's panel, allowing for easy color-coded routing and creation of four separate mixers with custom DSP effects and zero latency monitoring. Five user-configurable presets enhance engineers' productivity, providing fast and easy recall of favorite settings. Orion Studio's clocking accuracy is provided by Antelope's superior 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) jitter management technology, which is present in all Antelope's flagship clocks and converters.
Hardware-Based Audio Effects
Massive hardware modeling capabilities
Already leaders in the field of digital audio clocking Antelope Audio is now on a mission to revolutionize the world of digital audio interfaces. Our custom Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) not only guarantees the lowest sound latency on the market when creating and streaming multiple mixes, but provides our devices with massive hardware modeling capabilities.
Forget about expensive effects
They often sound flat and soulless and can be quite a pain to your computer. Our FPGA effects bring audio realism to a new level. They sound, behave and feel just like real hardware gear, because they ARE real hardware gear.
Orion Studio, Orion 32+, Zen Tour and Goliath – all our latest audio interfaces – feature this new breed of powerful hardware-based audio effects. These include vintage and contemporary guitar amp & cab simulations, plus Antelope’s very own enhanced versions of legendary studio gear.
