For the money you cant beat it. Its not a Neuman, but its not $1500 either.

Product Review

I use it for amp cabs as a second mic inline and back from the first mic to get some room. They are a little mid sounding but eq out pretty well. This is a great mic for any demo studio situation with a tight budget.

Awesome Mic

I have only had this mic for about 1 week so I cant comment on dependability, bt it's made well.

I love where you can switch to the 10db right on the mic itself.

Just plug it in, turn on the phantom power and you have an amazing sound.

I love the tone.

Work Horse

quality is excellent and have used mine for about 6 years

Best thing about this mic is the quality. I get excellent vocals and have used it to record a variety of instruments. Has not been a dissapointment for me

basic setup, not hard at all

tone is average, you need an outside source to increase warmth

Your general opinion of this product.

This is a great sounding mic at any price, it is the most important peace of gear in my studio!!!!!!

Affordable Studio Mic

This is a very heavy duty mic - well constructed

The pad switch feature is nice - usually mics in this price range do not have them.

Use with a good mic preamp and get a good cable (I use Mogami cables - very quiet). Works well with my Behringer mixer (phantom power).

Works very well for anything but screaming. If you are a screamer - then you may need a mic that handles higher SPL levels.

amazing quality

Your general opinion of this product.

I added this mic to the recording "arsenal" to capture voice and acoustic guitar. It is used in conjunction with a Rode NT3, which is "aimed" at the acoustic guitar and the B1 does vocals and some guitar. This mic sounds fabulous, and vastly exceeded my expectations. At $99 the value is unbelievable. I could not be more pleased. EQ was not an issue, it fits well in the mix, and the clarity really is superb. If the your musical ability is "better" than this mic, you're not likely to be reading this; your staff is buying equipment for you!
