Terrific buy!
What is your opinion of this product?
This small 5 channel mixer is excellent! I use it to run my own personal sound for my solo acoustic shows. No problems with it at all and it's extremely durable. Very easy to operate as well.

It's great!
Your general opinion of this product.
For a compact mixer, the Behringer Xenyx502 offers alot of bang for the buck!
At first, I would have thought this was a little cheesy, but it is very well made. I have been using it as a multi-channel pre-mixer to my power amp, allowing me to take the outputs from two modeling effects units and a mic (or unified mono source) and control their levels easily without having to keep walking between my station and the mains/power amp.
Very easy to use! A very basic unit and easy enough for the beginner to learn.
Particularly, I like the ability to send the "tape" input to the "Headphone" output, allowing you to send the main mix to a recording device and monitor the actual signal from that device... without creating a feedback loop at the "mains" level. I WOULD like to see, perhaps, a model adding one more XLR input (creating a total of 6 channels, instead of 5). Behringer's next-step-up is an 8 channel model.
The tone is awesome. I DO enjoy their "neo-classic British EQ", providing a novel tone without degrading signal quality.
I haven't had this unit for very long, but I can say that I'm sure this will do very well. My gigging/practice schedule puts enough on any of my equipment to thoroughly test my audio equipment pretty quickly. Particularly, my location being in upstate New York and the current season of Winter adds the additional tests of extreme temperature changes, humidity changes and dirty/muddy shoe bottoms.

Excellent Mini-Mixer!
This mixer is well constructed with attention to detail that you typically see on much more expensive equipment.
The 1/4 inch and RCA jacks provided the flexibility I needed for my application.
This product is very easy to use right out of the box. The manual was a quick read and the mixer sounded great. For the money, this is quite a great little piece of equipment.
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a great mixer.

Low price, low flexibility.
The best features of this product are the price and its size. I am also glad that they added phantom power to the XLR input. I would add more flexibility in signal routing, which could be done without adding any more controls. I wanted balanced outs, and it was never clear if they were or not (they aren't).
The minimalist number of controls make it relatively easy to use until you get to the tape i/o section, a major source of frustration. The manual was difficult to follow at times because it covered several different models and was not always clear which it was referring to.
decent for the price, which is a consistent theme with this brand.
Still working after one month of ownership.
Your general opinion of this product.
My biggest disappointment with this mixer is that the headphone output is dependent on the main mix volume control. I wanted a compact mixer to which I could connect my guitar and MP3 player and switch easily between powered monitors and headphone practice. This product is not able to accomplish this task, as one has to turn up the main mix volume to pass a signal to the headphones. I have to physically disconnect the main outs to play through the headphones only. The tape input is also a disappointment: directing it to the headphones cuts off the mix; directing it to the mix cuts off its signal to the headphones.

Decent for some things, not for others.
My previous experience with Behringer products has disappointed me, but for the price it's hard to argue. Everything seems fine right now, but I'm sure the pots will get scratchy soon.
Please be aware that this mixer DOES NOT HAVE PHANTOM POWER. They don't say that in the description, at least I couldn't find it. luckily I don't need it. An on/off switch would have been nice, too.
Well laid out design, easy to use and understand. Manual was in 12 languages, sweet!
Sound is ok, about what you would expect. The EQ is certainly not like a Neve (or even close), not sure what they mean by "British EQ". I use it as a headphone amp/mixer and it gets super loud.

Basic way into your computer sound card
Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Behringer mixers have proven themselves over and over--this little jewel is no exception. I use it for a simple input device into my PC.

Very basic features--it IS what it is,nothing more. The mic pre-amp is a quiet and a great way to get a quality mic signal into your computer.

EASE OF USE:
EZ as one-two-three.

VALUE:
Well worth the dinero. Get a Behringer mic pre-amp, CD inputs, stereo mixing, etc.

SOUND:
QUIET operation, alittle noise detectable at higher/extreme settings, but I never max it out so no noise problems.
