Product Description

The Boss FV-500H Volume Pedal is an Industrial-Strength Power Pedal

For 14 years, the famous BOSS FV-300 served as an industry-standard volume pedal. The tradition continued with the FV-50 series, but today the bar has been raised with BOSS’s FV-500L (stereo, low-impedance) and FV-500H (mono, high-impedance, line level) pedals. These tank-tough diecast pedals are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding customers. The pedals offer a new stylish design, a road-tough build, and a comfortable, smooth action. Both models also provide an Expression output for use with expression-compatible amps, effects, and even synthesizers.

Well worth the price tag! Top of market

Works extremely well! Uses small hydraulic piece for movement instead of a string, so it's much sturdier, and has adjustible friction so you can adjust how stiff it feels. 10/10 will be buying again.

A bit large

Product Review

This works well and has the extra tuner in/out option but this thing is huge! Takes up too much space on my board. I will probably trade or sell it.

Well worth the money

Product Review

The Boss FV-500L is the best Volume Pedal I have ever Owned, I love the fact that you can chain your tuner into the side of it and I know you don't need a stereo Pedal very often but its there when you need it, also it great that you adjust the tension on the pedal pressure. I Looked at other Brands and this one just leaped out at me! It's reasonably priced too!

Gives me good control of my volume without fiddling with my guitar volume.

Built like a tank. Don't think I'll have an issue with it.

The ability to set minimal volume (should I not be needing to do any swells with it).

How hard is it to move your own foot?

Haven't noticed anything different in my tone with this in my chain.

The Best Alternative to Ernie Ball

Your general opinion of this product.

This pedal is THE best alternative to the Ernie Ball stereo pedal, if you're a keyboard player who relies on durability and dependability. It's solid metal casing weighs less then the EB, and considering I haul 5 different keyboards and accessories to gigs, weight is always an issue. I've read elsewhere that the FV-500L has plastic guts. I'm not sure whether this is true or not, but all other aspects of this pedal make it quite the bargain at 1/2 the price of an EB.

The best feature is its flexibility. Connect it as an expression pedal through the Control jack of your keyboard, or connect it in-line as a stereo pedal, or for quick setup/rehearsal, connect it in-line in mono-mode. No dip switches to mess with. It is plug-n-play at its finest!! As an aside, this is a large pedal, which those of us who wear size 12 shoes REALLY appreciate. Don't waste money on the EV-5 or other pedals if you have more than a size 8 shoe.
