Product Highlights

Product Description

The CAD C195 microphone is a superior low-noise, electret condenser cardioid microphone designed for professional vocalists and musicians.
The CAD C195 provides the performance and features to satisfy today's most demanding professionals. The wide and flat frequency response of the CAD C195 provides unsurpassed natural transparent sound quality. The cardioid pickup pattern minimizes annoying feedback (when used close to sound reinforcement speakers and monitors) and reduces the pickup of unwanted off-axis sounds. A transformerless electronic design provides optimum low frequency response and low distortion. An effective internal multistage pop filter minimizes wind and breath noise. The CAD C195 is supplied complete with a 15 foot XLR/XLR cable and a snap-in microphone swivel-mount.

The CAD C195 microphone has a Flex-Form hardened steel grille screen that dramatically resists deformation while greatly reducing any risk of adverse performance caused by a bent or dented ball screen. This unique ability to retain its original shape assures that the CAD C195 will maintain its attractive appearance.

The CAD C195 features the CAD exclusive (I.N.R.-3) Impact Noise Rejection system. CAD's proprietary rubber shock mount isolates the transducer from the barrel, thus dramatically reducing cable, stand and handling noise. The need for any external shock mounting device is virtually eliminated.

The low-frequency response of the CAD C195 may be enhanced by increasing or decreasing the distance from the sound source. This phenomenon is technically known as proximity effect. Nominal or flat response is generated at a distance of 24 inches or more. However, as the distance to the sound source decreases, the bass sensitivity increases, providing a solid, robust character.

CAD Quality
All CAD C195 microphones are audio tested and inspected prior to shipment. CAD's absolute commitment to quality insures that CAD microphones remain the Best Value in today's competitive industry.

Surprised by the powerful response!

Your general opinion of this product.

A friend recommended these microphones for acoustic and vocal use. When I sampled his for an indoor gig while on tour I was very impressed. Came home and ordered two for my use. They arrived in time for my next hometown outdoor gig and I was very impressed with their response and how much extra headroom I had, not having to push the gain to high to get good response. Can't wait to use them on a regular basis!

Feels and appears very durable.

Plug and play (and turn on the phantom power, of course)

very clear and accurately representative of acoustic and vocal performance.

A fantastic mic

This mic is very well made, nice and rugged,it has served me well in the short time i have owned it.

A nice compact size mic to work with maybe a on and off switch would make it that much better.

I had no problem setting this mic up,i used it as a replacement mic for our church's podium for speaking.

The tone quality on this mic is very clear and you can hear everything no matter how quiet you speak.

Your general opinion of this product.

This mic is a great replacement mic for all the situations i have used it for.

inexpensive phantom.

yes, well made.

phantom powered and inexpensive.

Great in studio....touchy live. With gain at 3, power is equivalent to a 7 setting with a dynamic mike. I get feedback in live situations, when gain is higher then a 3 setting....only because the mike preamp is extremely sensitive...that sensitivity is where it excells in studio.

really good.

Your general opinion of this product.

Too touchy for me to rely on it live...great in studio.

Cad C195, a fantastic replacement for your Shure SM58 and Beta 58 Microphone

The Cad C195 works even when a musician drops the microphone stand and the C195 microphone right off the front of the stage. I had this happen and the stage crew put the microphone back on the stage and the show started right back up. With smiles from everyone there!

I feel that the best feature is that this microphone gives you some space between you and the microphone to work, and still does not feed back. It has great directional properties and works great in any stage show I have had to work. It works al the way down to people playing a lap dulcimer with their fingers rather than with a pick. Great instrument and vocal microphone and does not cost an arm and a leg. The C195 also takes the abuse of stage work and keeps working every day...

CAD C195 is the best replacement I have ever seen for the Shure SM 58 or 57 microphones. I have done some stage shows as of late and other sound people there did love the C195 so much they did order them the next day for their stock. Also many musicians I know have slowly changed over to the CAD C195 because you don't have to have your mouth right on the microphone. As per using it for acoustic instruments I use the C195 by CAD on Lap Dulcimers and it works great and does not have to be right on top of the instrument like the Shure microphones I did have before.

Every musician and storyteller I work with thanks me for working their event, and usually asks me for a recorded copy of their set. As they tell me that this is the best audio they have had from a sound system.

Great mic

I have not had mine very long, but I have heard good things about the durability of this Mic.

The best feature of this Mic is the cost vs. performance.

This Mic is just as easy to use SA any other externally powered condenser.

The tone is great. It has lots of presence and gets in your face without having to crank up the preamp.

Amazing Sound

I have used #58 and #57 Shure ball microphones since the 60s. But now I am a CAD user!!!

This Microphone lets me only have to take one Model Microphone to a Music Festival. I don't have to tale several kinds of microphones with me anymore!

I can set this microphone up with ease any place on stage. Amazing sound and great quality. Also it does survive ruff treatment from Musicians Very Well!

I find that with the C195 I can use this on Instruments or vocals with amazing sound!
