They're pretty good
Product Rating

Product Review

I mean, overall, you probably already know what strings you like and don't like if you play at all, but I will say that these strings initially do have a brighter tone than many others. The one knock I have on these is, if you are a chugger, the strings will almost definitely unwind from the base after a while. That said, they definitely hold a nice one until they break. I have yet to have one take on that muted or tinny tonality, so that is a good thing. Overall, these are pretty versatile, but the more aggressive you are as a guitarist on the strings, the more likely you are to have to replace these more frequently than some of the other brands out there.

Love These Strings!

Product Review

I had never tried flatwound strings until I bought my first hollowbody. I was very impressed and very happy. I have 6 electric guitars, four are hollow or semi-hollow body. I use flatwounds on two of my jazz guitars (Ibanez LGB30 and Epiphone ES-175 Premium), and I use D'Addario Half-Round (semi-flatwound) on my Ibanez AF95RW and Ibanez AK75D). The flatwounds are virtually noise/scratch free when moving up and down the fretboard. The semi-flats are nearly noise free and feel more like regular round wound strings (on my Strat and electric 12-string). Try these strings, you're gonna love 'em! :)

Great flatwounds

Product Review

I have been playing these strings for about 10 years now. I have never had one break. The only issue I have ever had was the ball end unwinding on the high e string. But, that was on a jaguar. Seems to be a common problem with the jag/jazz tremolo, with any strings. I will continue using these as long as I play. I usually get the 12's for my jazzmaster, 13's for my jaguar, and 11's for everything else. I highly recommend these strings.

Nice clear tone, not the dead thump thing, like some flat wounds.

"Great sounding strings"

Product Review

I was using another brand of strings that were more expensive. These feel and sound great on my jazz guitar. Within a week I've had a few people comment on how good my guitar sounds.
