Product Description

Pro-Arte, the world's most popular classical strings are D'Addario's premium classical guitar string sets. All Pro-Arte treble strings are sorted by a sophisticated computer-controlled laser machine which performs diameter and tension measurements, ensuring true-sounding, precise trebles in every set. Pro-Arte basses are wound using silver-plated copper on a multi-filament nylon core for consistent and warm, yet projecting tone.

EJ45, normal tension, is D'Addario's best selling classical set, preferred for its balance of rich tone, comfortable feel and dynamic projection.

EJ46, hard tension, is a popular choice for its rich tone, increased resistance and strong projection.

EJ44, extra hard tension, is optimal for maximum string resistance and projection without compromising tone.

My go-to string

Product Review

Hey, they're strings...

Good sound

I'd like them better if they did not use silver. Shopping around for an alternate brand.

After putting new strings on they stay in good tune after around the 15th time. None have broken and sometimes they are flexed big time.

Makes unique sound depending on how hard or softly they are flexed.

The E,A,D strings tarnish, but wipe clean with soft cloth.

D'Addario's nylon strings

ProArte strings are some of the finest you can buy, at a reasonable price. They produce excellent tone on my Alvarez Yairi CY140 and have longer-than-usual life, compared to most other strings.

I have used several sets on my 3 nylon-string guitars-and have never had a broken string.

Your general opinion of this product.

Very good quality at a fair price.

Great classical tone. Get the High Tension EJ46's-they have the best sound and dynamic response. The only strings I have tried with better tone (marginally) are Savarez high tension-but they're more expensive.
