    Product Description

    EXL110
EXL110, D'Addario's best selling set, offers the ideal combination of tone, flexibility and long life. The standard for most electric guitars.

    EXL116
EXL116 is a hybrid set with an .011 on top and a .052 on the bottom, giving the strings moderate flexibility on the high strings with booming, tight low end. Optimized for down tuning.

    EXL117
EXL117 is an extreme hybrid set, optimally designed for tuning guitars down a whole step to D, while maintaining a comfortable playing tension like that of a "light" gauge set.

    EXL120
EXL120, one of D'Addario's best selling sets, delivers super flexibility and biting tone. A standard for many electric guitars.

    EXL125
EXL125 is D'Addario's best selling hybrid set, combining the high strings from an EXL120 (.009) with the low strings from an EXL110 (.046). The result is a set with strong fundamental low end, but with super flexibility on the high strings.

    EXL130
EXL130 is D'Addario's lightest gauge string set. Great for beginners or players who require strings with the lightest possible tension and greatest ease of play.

    EXL140
EXL140 is one of D'Addario's most popular hybrid sets, combining the high strings from an EXL110 (.010) with heavier low strings (.052). This combination delivers powerful low end for heavy chording and flexible plain steel strings for bending. Optimized for down or drop tuning!

    EXL145
EXL145 is a popular choice for rock and metal where heavier gauges are required. A plain 3rd/G string offers more flexibility than traditional 12-gauge electric strings. Optimized for down tuning!

    EXL148
EXL148 is an extreme hybrid set, optimally designed for tuning guitars down to C, or for players who prefer a heavier gauge string.

What is your opinion of this product?
What can I say that hasn't already been said about these? They are great sounding long lasting strings. I put them on all my guitars. Ring out well and nice balance between stings.

The third wound string holds tuning better.
What is your opinion of this product?
I use third wound as recommended by my guitar tech. I think it holds tuning better. But some guitars G nut slot might have to be widened just a bit. Maybe not.

    Perfect for Hollowbody w/P90
What is your opinion of this product?
Searched high and low for a set of D'Addario EXL 110 strings with a wound G string. Found them at AMS!!! Took some digging through the website but finally hit pay dirt! I knew if they were out there, AMS would have them. All my electric solid bodies have the unwound G, but one hollow body with a single P90 pickup came originally set up with the wound G string and I wanted to keep the exact same tone. Needless to say, they're perfect for that particular guitar. Bought 3 sets, and will be getting more. All my electric guitars have D'Addario's on them. Great strings.

    Love this set!
What is your opinion of this product?
I love having a wound G string in a set of 10's .. I have some of My electrics set for 10's and some for 11's and even a few with 9's ... but with the wound G's it gives a beefier sound and on the few that pinged just a bit with unwounds... problem solved...

    Cant be beat
What is your opinion of this product?
I often try other brands of strings based on price or reviews, all in all I find them comparably close in tone or strength. I have recently been going back and forth with Ernie Ball and D'Addario but the one that always outlasts the competition is D'Addario, that's why I always go back. They sound great when I put them on and they still sound great when its show-time. The hot swampy summer whether of the North East can really take a toll on my strings. And I gig sometimes 3 nights a week. I need something that lasts a while. D'Addario's keep their new string sound much longer than others.
