Product Description

Blue Steel are the world's first and finest Cryogenic-processed strings. Blue Steel strings are a total breakthrough in string technology. Starting with the very finest quality materials, Blue Steel strings are frozen to minus 320 degrees Fahrenheit, held there for an exact period of time and then slowly and carefully brought back to their original temperature. This unique Cryogenic treatment realigns the molecular structure of the string, giving Blue Steel more highs and lows, a longer life and greater ability to stay in tune.

That's right, this is the one everyone's been talking about. It's simply amazing what a little -320ยบ liquid nitrogen can do to a guitar string. If I were you, I'd put on a set and see what all the noise is about. Twice the tone and twice the life.

FAQ

Q: What makes Blue Steel strings different than your other strings?
A: Blue Steel strings are cryogenically treated to give them a longer life, great tone and the ability to stay in tune better than other strings. While some artists play Blue Steel strings exclusively, other players feel more comfortable with untreated strings. We advise everyone to try Blue Steel strings to see if they are the string for you.

Q: Is there a chance Blue Steel guitar strings would wear down my frets faster than other strings?
A: No, Blue Steel strings will not wear down your frets any faster than any other standard string available on the market today.

Q: Is there really a Dean Markley?
A: Yes. Dean has been a force in the music industry for over 25 years, and although he dedicates much of his time to his home, family, horses, and rabbits, he still is very active in product development and planning for the future of Dean Markley Strings, Inc.

Best strings I've ever used!
What is your opinion of this product?
I've been playing for over 50 years and I have used just about every type and brand of strings available. The Dean Markley Blue Steel strings have the best tone, are the least corrosive, longest lasting, and hold pitch better than any strings I have ever used. I started using these when they first came out and I only use Blue Steels on all of my electric guitars. I like the Custom Light 9-46 because the e, B, and G strings are easier to bend and the D, A and E give more bottom-end presence. The cost is reasonable and actually ends up being less overall because they last longer and don't have to be changed as often as other strings. Of course, I wipe them off after each time I play. For me, these are the only strings to use. I have around 20 guitars and if I used the $15 a set strings, I could go broke real quick and still not have the same quality and long lasting strings as the Dean Markley Blue Steel strings.

The only electric strings I use
What is your opinion of this product?
I am allergic to nickel, which makes playing the electric guitar very tricky. When I first started playing about seven years ago, I was in search of non-nickel wound strings. These strings were one of my only options. As opposed to other nickel-wound strings I have experimented with, these strings are impeccable. They hardly ever break, they are extremely durable, they stay in tune better than any strings I have used in the past, and they sound great. I am sure that I would never have even thought of using these strings if it weren't for my allergy, so for once in my life, I am glad to be allergic to nickel!

Quality at great price, reliable too
Your general opinion of this product.
I purchased several sets of the heavy bottom, light tops for him as stocking stuffers this Christmas. I had bought him some Elixirs to try earlier this year, but he has 14 guitars and these are his "old standby" strings. I just know that he will restring some of them with these as his trems and things are set to these specific strings and he won't want to adjust for other string sizes for those coated strings that don't come in specialty sizes. Besides, who knows if he will really like those? I know without a doubt that he always likes these and no matter how many I buy, he will definately use them.

Great strings--non-coated so they can actually be played like strings are supposed to be played! The best out there!
