Fantastic metal beast

Product Review

Enjoying this metal machine immensely! Heard some previous complaints about quality control issue. I have not experienced any issues. Was well set up, low action on the shreddable neck and pickups SCREAM much to my enjoyment! No hum or soldering issues as mentioned in other reviews I have read. I have zero complaints with this guitar and may purchase a second because I am likely to wear this one OUT!!

So far so good

Too soon to tell

Your general opinion of this product.

I was hesitant with all the negative things I read about deans but recent reviews had been good. I was either lucky or the quality control has gotten better. My paint was perfect. The only thing was the setup. There was a little fret buzz but I attribute that to the climate change as it came from a dry climate to a humid one.

Perfect balance and lighter than I thought. I have always played Jackson's so this neck is different but I think suits my smaller hands better.

I would consider it to be well made, top of the line quality; as is expected, and is very dependable.

It hasn't failed me yet, and I doubt it ever will. If you take care of it, it'll take care of you.

Your general opinion of this product.

I think this guitar is of excellent quality. It is top of the line in every way, and a beautiful instrument to look at, and hear.

It is a very light instrument, lighter than a standard stratocaster. It's really easy to get up and down the neck, while the controls are easily accessible.

It has a brighter tone, but is also very good on the bass end. The pickups are a very beautiful thing to look at, depending on the model you get. I got the Rust In Peace edition, and the pickups are reflective, but from the picture it appears that on other models the pickups are black. Regardless, they are perfect. They have great sustain and can produce much more noise than other instuments.

The finish is very nice.

It was made for shredding and it does just that.

What in the world are you talking about??? This Axe Rules!

Unless you can afford to pay 3 times what it's worth to buy "American", (what does that mean anymore anyway) This many features on a quality guitar is unheard of by "other" manufacturers. Dean took a series hit when Dimebag died and they needed a new fornt man to sell their guitars. Well, they found it in Dave Mustaine, and Metals greatest guitarist needs an instrument that is worthy, and the VMNT is it!

I have played/toured/recorded with this guitar for over a year. No problems whatsoever. The other guy who rated this must play guitar hero or something. I own several Jacksons, and none on them compare to the quality and performance of this guitar. If you can't play it, then why on earth would you even buy it? Stick to guitar hero.

Your general opinion of this product.

You will not be disgusted. This is a truly worthy guitar for metal or hard rock. If you are looking to play blues, it will still out perform any thing else I've ever played, and that's most everything.

The neck is solid and trust worthy. I can shred up and down the neck with comfort and not have to worry about "breaking" it's little skinny neck like on most guitars. All controls operate smoothly and I have had no problems.

As stated earlier, it has great "growl" for metal and rock, but when the distortion is off, the Dave Mustiane Livewire pickups are smooth and silky. If your sound sucks, it's coming form your cheap amp or effects, not from this guitar.

The gears of war graphic is killer. It is new, and modern and doesn't have that look of yester year.

Plug and play man. It doesn't get any simpler. The only thing I changed was the gage of strings. I like .09's on the bottom, and the guitar came with .10's. Other than that, it rules.

It has been made for Dave Mustaine...

I just bought a 1500$ guitar while this one will cost me 1600$.. and I think that the Mustaine guitar is worth 300$ less than the other one ( wich is a razorback )

I try to play with it...But it really has the Dave Mustaine specs...wich are different than I have difficulty playing still a great collection object..!

Your general opinion of this product.

Good finish.., good humbuckers.., signed three times by Dave Mustaine.., neck-thru-body construction...but playable by guys like Dave Mustaine only.!!

Great plays great for that...but try the solos..You play a long time before getting used to the touch and play SOLOS

the only thing I can say is that ; The humbuckers looks better without the stamps..more metal look.!!

I love red..espescially this funny way to represent ``Gears of war``by an artist that took a small pencil to make every details...good job.! Buy the way ; If you listen to the megadeth`s`ll know that the gears of war are to oftenly the kids..That`s what he could`t reproduce on this guitar I guess!!

I had a better fun playing with that acousticly ; Cause you got to have a better pulling and picking to ear yourself playing with an electric like an acoustic....But the adrenaline it gave tome ..whoa..., hell!!
