Product Description

Offering drummers an unequaled combination of speed, feel and power, Drum Workshop brings you the 9002 Double Bass Drum Pedal. The 9000 Series pedals have given players the flexibility and versatility to take their footwork to the next level.

The DW 9002 kick pedal provides patented features like the free-floating rotor-drive system, rotating swivel spring and infinitely adjustable cam to create a more direct transfer of energy that optimizes the stroke for more power and precision. DW 9000 Series pedals features also include an Infinite Adjustable Cam, allowing the pedal to be easily set from Accelerator to Turbo Drive or anywhere in-between. DW 9000 Series double pedals includes an easy-travel, soft nylon bag.

Drum Workshop DW 9002 Double Bass Drum Pedal Features:

  • Infinite adjustable cam
  • Floating swivel spring
  • Nylon strap
  • Ball bearing hinge
  • Tri-pivot toe clamp
  • Clip & drum key
  • Single post casting
  • Assembly with memory lock
  • Includes nylon carry case
The patented 9000 Series Free-Floating Rotor drive system allows the shaft to turn independently of the rotor directing energy from the pedal board straight to the beater. The design also uses friction-reducing ball bearings to optimize the already incredibly smooth, gravity-defying action.

The patented Floating Swivel Spring increases efficiency on the down stroke and return stroke, creating less resistance and an incredibly smooth feel.

9000 Series Bass Drum Pedals include a Nylon Strap and can be easily converted from Chain-Drive to Nylon Strap and a state-of-the-art Ball Bearing Hinge design.

The Double Pedal utilizes DW’s Precision Universal Assembly. DW is the only company that machines its universal assemblies in-house to meet its strict quality control standards. Drum Workshop’s universal assemblies have guaranteed tight tolerances to provide the smooth response that has made the pedals famous.

The fastest double pedal on the market today

Product Review

In my 48 years of drumming professionally I haven’t seen any foot pedal ( double or single ) that is as responsive and fast and smooth as the DW90002. I use it every night. It’s reliable and unlike most foot pedals has no extra parts to it that end up falling off after a certain time. It’s easily adjustable as well. I am able to achieve the perfect balance by adjusting the springs along with the beater in a matter of seconds to achieve its speed and power which are unmatched by any other and I’ve tried them all. I knew this double pedal was the best because I had played Tommy Lee’s 90002, I knew immediately. The pedals come with a drum key/allen wrench and in a sturdy, hand held vinyl case making for an easy load in and out plus an easy set-up and tear down. Thank You DW and Thank You AMS.

Better than the DW mdd!!

Product Review

I had the DW machined direct drive double pedals before these and in my opinion the 9000’s are way faster and hit harder! Both the 9000 and mdd pedals are equally smooth and both have plenty of adjustments for an individuals preference but the 9000’s give you a little extra grip where the mdd’s have a slippery board making it hard to stay consistent unless you are used to that style board. Also seeing as most drummers play on a chain driven pedal it makes the transition to the top shelf pedal realm easier with less “getting used to” time where the mdd’s took me a little while to get acclimated with. I’ve also owned Tama speed cobras and power glides, DW 5000’s, Pearl eliminators and Direct-drives, and nothing has come close to the 9000’s in my opinion! Grab a set and thank me later!

Excellent craftsmanship

Product Review

Very well designed. Solid in performance, has a very smooth flow to the pedals and also sturdy; staying in place when playing fast rolls on the kit. Bonus, comes w/carrying bag.

A true workhorse

Product Review

These pedals are fast, incredibly smooth, and really hit hard. I love that they are easy to adjust, and that they stay the way you set them. The spring rocker is silent and silky. The pedal board is substantial, the heel joint is sturdy and fluid. The universal drive seems sturdy enough, though I’ve had them go bad on a pair of 5000 series pedals, as well as Axis and Tama pedal linkages. The tiny joints in a u-link take a lot of stress, but these show no signs of wear in the 6 months of regular use I have given them. Overall this is a superb professional grade piece of gear, and it makes hitting hard a little easier due to its rugged massiveness. The standard DW meat tenderizers still get the job done! But if you’re looking for a little more responsiveness, just go with a lighter beater.
