Excellent speaker upgrade |

I put this speaker in a older small, reliable, solid state amp. I'll not name it, but it's been a good portable practice amp, and built like a tank. The amp sounded good before, but this Red Fang really made a world of difference. The stock speaker sounded ‘brittle’ in comparison, plus, at high volume it would get really messy and non musical (not good overdrive, just overload). It didn’t have any bottom end at all. The Red Fang really sounds sweet. Much, much better. Deep, warm, articulate and accurate. Great tone! Plus, it’s able to really take the volume and get loud. The kind of loud you literally feel (which I can only do when the wife is gone). I've already purchased an identical Red Fang for the twin spare amp. It's that good.

I bought a used Laney VC15-110 amp , the stock speaker is a Jensen and the amp sounded good , but it lacked in bottom end as most 110 combos do . There wasn't a lot of room in the amp between the speaker magnet and the power tubes so I was limited as to what would fit . To be honest , the RF 10C was not my first choice but it fit the dimensions so I went for it ... glad I did ! It added the bottom end that was lacking and just sounds great , and it's really not broken in yet ! I play on high gain settings and with my Paisley pedal it just screams ! I couldn't ask for more ! |

I bought this speaker for a small amplifier (basically a vintage Vox AC4 clone with EF86 preamp) I have which can be woofy on the low end, and needs some high frequency help. I have been using a Weber 10A125 in it for quite awhile and been somewhat happy with it, but it still needed more top end and less low end. After reading through the tone guide on the Eminence web site, I took a shot at the Eminence Red Fang 10 ceramic. The speaker did what I hoped and gave me more top end edge and moderated the low end. In addition, it works great with the overdrive pedals I have. To top it of, AMS offered the speaker at a great price and free shipping. No brainer. |

Best Damn 10" speaker Ever! |

I just got this speaker in the mail today from American Musical Supply, and fresh outa the box, this speaker sounds so unbelievably great! It is the best damn 10" speaker I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot. Ive been on a quest for my Dr Z Monza tube amp, it's a 1x10 combo, and I have tried a ton. Only speaker I like with this amp is an old vintage Eminence, but it's a 12" so it won't fit. After Many Many failed attempts through lots of 10's I got this cool new RF10C. It's so clear and articulate, sounds like a 12" speaker through my Dr Z Monza and handled le loud power great!! If you are considering buying this speaker, DO it! You won't regret it. |
