Product Description

Epiphone presents the Embassy PRO Bass, inspired by the rare 60s classic and commemorating the 60th anniversary of Epiphone joining the Gibson Family of Instruments. Featuring new ProBucker #760 Bass Humbuckers and improved hardware including a Tune-o-matic bridge, a 1960s-inspired claw tailpiece, and 2-on-a-side Premium 17:1 ratio tuners for better balance.

Modern Vintage
The original Epiphone Embassy was introduced in 1963, the same year as the legendary Thunderbird, and became Epiphone’s premier solid-body electric bass. The new Embassy PRO Bass combines the best of the Embassy’s classic features with some key design improvements. The Mahogany body now has a slightly longer upper horn for great balance and the glued-in Mahogany neck comes with a two-way adjustable truss rod for perfect set-up.

The neck has a 1960's SlimTaper-D profile, a Pau Ferro fingerboard with pearloid Dot inlays, a 34 inch scale length, a 12 inch radius, and 22 medium jumbo frets. The Antique Ivory color finish comes with a black/white pickguard while the Dark Cherry and Ebony finishes have a white/black pickguard. The classic Epiphone Sloped Dovewing headstock has a 60s era pearloid Epiphone logo as well as a 2017 commemorative logo on the back of the headstock.

ProBucker Bass Pickups
The Embassy PRO Bass is powered by Epiphone’s critically acclaimed new ProBucker #760 Bass Pickups which are made with the same attention to detail as the ProBucker and P-90 PRO guitar pickups. ProBucker 760s are inspired by the original Thunderbird and Embassy pickups from the 60s and feature 18 percent Nickel Silver Covers, German- manufactured Elektrisola Magnet wire, Alnico IV sand cast magnets, and braided coaxial lead wire and are vacuum wax potted to eliminate microphonics. Epiphone has also recreated the original Epiphone Barrel knobs with metal inserts for Master Volume, Blend, and Master Tone controls.

Rock Solid Hardware
The Embassy PRO Bass now includes a modern adjustable Tune-o-matic bridge and a 60s styled Claw tailpiece along with a barrel style 1/4 inch rim-mounted output jack. The overall balance of the Embassy is also improved by 2-to-a-side Premium Die-Cast Bass machine heads with a super pro 17:1 tuning ratio. A hard case is available.

Lifetime Guarantee
The new Embassy PRO Bass comes with Epiphone’s Limited Lifetime Guarantee and world famous Gibson 365/24/7 worldwide customer service. Visit your Authorized Epiphone Dealer or visit Epiphone.com today to find a dealer near you and discover the next generation of the legendary Embassy PRO Bass!

Great bang for the buck on the entry level market

What is your opinion of this product?
I think it is a good deal, but I also think it's quality is along the lines of the better Fender Squier. The sound is good, not great. I am also not sure how much I like the blend. I like it better than two volume controls, but the out put changes a bit right on the middle. I like a slender with like a jazz, or rick. But, found it did not take too long the adjust how I play. I put on better strings right away, the OE strings did not look, play or sound good. The finish is it best part, looks as nice as a bass twice it's price. the neck and frets are it biggest down fall. I would put it up to any entry level bass in the $300 range. I have done the adjustments best I can, I have played bass thirty years. But plan to have the set up redone, and some fret work done. I play in an Alt rock / wave band, so I was looking for something with a vintage look and sound, with out having to put out the money for a Rick

love this bass!
What is your opinion of this product?
a tremendous economic value, after a professional set-up and my favorite flatwounds installed, this Epiphone Embassy bass sounds and plays as well as a bass costing 2 to 3 times as much. This is an excellent bass!

Poor mans "Ricky"
What is your opinion of this product?
I love the smooth feel of the neck & body. The finish is gorgeous!!! Nice & light for long jams. Well balanced so you're not fighting that "nose dive". Stays in tune well. Electronics...Pros- Super quiet! No ground noise issues. Simple blending between neck & bridge. Cons-Pickups could be better. Minus the star Still sounds pretty good though.... Overall I'm happy with my Epiphone Bass purchase. Super fun to play!

well worth the money.
What is your opinion of this product?
I have been playing bass for over fifty years. My go to basses over the last 15 yrs are a Musicman and a Jazz bass. I mostly play rock & metal. The Epiphone Embassy Bass has a great old school sound I LOVE IT. The Epi 760 humbuckers have plenty of bottom end but are still bright with plenty off punch. Beautiful guitar. NOW FOR THE CONS; needed a slight truss rod adjustment, that is understandable coming all the way from china. The fret ends were not dressed to my liking that was a easy fix. Played it at a gig for about 3 hrs and the fingertips on lefthand where black and dirty W.T.F. some kind off residue on the fret board, nothing a good cleaning won't fix. MY FINAL COMMENTS .. I like it, GREAT SOUND , PLAYS GREAT. LOOKS FANTASTIC NICE WIEGHT AND BALANCE . WITH A FEW MINOR ADJUSTMENTS PLAYS AND SOUNDS LIKE IT COST A LOT MORE.. I would have gave it a 5 if the frets we dressed & fretboard cleaned I recommend this bass to anyone want who wants a great bass at an affordable price.
