Epiphone is proud to welcome Brent into the House of Stathopoulo's elite group of signature artists with his own take on his favorite guitar, the Flying V.

Historic Flying V Style With A Modern Twist
The Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Brent Hinds Flying-V Custom features a Mahogany body with a Silverburst Finish and a Mahogany neck with the same profile of the original historic Flying V first released in the last 50s. Flying Vs have long been among Brent's favorite guitars. His new Custom Flying V has a Mahogany neck with a 24.75" scale length and a "1958" rounded profile and is hand-set and glued in. The Ebony fingerboard has a 12" radius with Pearloid "Block" inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The classic "V" headstock has Pearloid "Split Diamonds" with the now-famous 60s era Epiphone logo. On the back of the headstock is Epiphone’s "2016" Limited Edition symbol and Brent Hinds' signature "Skull" logo. The body has 7-layer binding of alternating Pure White and Black while the Headstock and the pickguard have 5-layer Pure White and Black. The truss rod cover has the Gibson/Epiphone Bell-Shape with 2-layer (Black/White) binding and "Brent Hinds" in white.

Lace® Hammer Claw Pickups
To power his premier Epiphone Signature Model, Brent chose Lace® USA Brent Hinds signature Hammer Claws™ Humbuckers which were designed by Brent to unleash a bright attack with a smooth midrange crunch along with balanced lows with highly responsive dynamics. Brent's Lace Hammer Claws pickups excel at all gain levels from clean to face-melting distortion. Controls are classic Black "Top Hats" with metal inserts and include individual volume pots for each pickup and a master tone control.

Classic Epiphone Hardware
Brent chose Epiphone's legendary rock solid nickel hardware including a 1/4" Epiphone Heavy-Duty output jack with a 3-layer jack plate (Black/White/Black), a LockTone™ Tune-o-matic bridge, and a Traditional "V" tailpiece with a classic string-thru body design. And, the Brent Hinds Flying V Custom comes with super pro Grover® Rotomatics™ machine heads with an incredibly accurate 18:1 turning ratio.

Sounds great, but not the most comfortable
Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
As anybody who's ever played a V knows that they're not the most well balanced and comfortable to play. It took me quite a while to get use to the feel of the neck as well. It almost felt like holding a club! I love the sound of the Hammerclaw pickups. They're pretty versatile, and almost seem like they're not passive. Idk if there's a wiring issue or it's normal for a V, but in the neck position with both the volume knobs at 0 there's still sound coming through the amp. It would've been nice if it at least came with an inexpensive Epiphone gigbag!

Best Epiphone signature series I have ever played!
What is your opinion of this product?
This is the best Epiphone signature model that I have ever played. I love fat and chunky 58`profile neck and body. Great quality ebony fretboard. Lace Sensor pickups are well balanced and they got crystal clear tone. I am giving 3 star because of the quality control and inspection. Tone knob was not functioning so I guess nobody ever found out? If you roll down the tonr knob and nothing happens, then there is an issue. I guess people dont play clean tone with rolled down tone? Easy fix tho. I just had to open up the pickguard and re-wire the tone pot. Other than tone knob issue, this is great axe!

Excellent quality with a lot of attitude
What is your opinion of this product?
I's always wanted a flying V style guitar but had never played one so I wasn't sure about how it would feel since it was such a crazy design. That fear kept me from justifying dropping twice as much for the G style big brother. Of course the Epiphone also had a silver burst and that makes up for any uncertainty I had! Once I got it, I was blown away by how comfortable and easy it was to actually play. The neck was larger than what I was used to but in a very good way, wider but still flat and fast. The build quality is fantastic and at the very least equal to the Gibson's I have. And I love the snarl of the Lace pickups, just great for all things rock and metal! An excellent purchase decision on my part!

Clean or nasty, this axe sings
What is your opinion of this product?
First off, this guitar is absolutely beautiful. The silverburst and block inlays really set this guitar off. The finish is so well done on the neck that the neck plays really fast. Usually the first thing to go when I buy a new guitar is the pickups, but the Lace pickups are good in the role of clean as well as drop overdriven nastiness. Epiphone is definitely moving out of the low end spectrum, but we don’t need two heavily overpriced guitar lines owned by Gibson, so they really need to keep a check on that. After all, they’re still made in Asian rim countries and we musicians expect that labor cost savings passed on to us. That being said, this guitar, overall, is well done and I’m quite happy with my purchase. The only other thing I would advise is to order a nice hardshell case along with the guitar, as it comes with neither a hsc nor a gig bag of any sort.

Great Great Guitar, Period!
What is your opinion of this product?
As a lifelong musician/singer etc I have owned many Epi's and Gibsons over the years. In case you haven't heard Epi is aggressively going after the High end market and doing a Damned good job of it as well. Today's Epi have top 'o' the line electronics(always a weakness before for them) They stopped using crappy stuff and now routinely use Gibson USA Pickups, In the case of This Flying "V" they use Lace Sensor "HammerClaw" Pick ups. Wow! They are sweet! The fit and finish not only favorably compares to your Assembly line Gibson's but I feel that it is better in many cases!! I don't say this lightly. Been a Gibson guy most of my life, I haven't been too impressed in the last 20 years with Gibson's quality(unless you talk about Custom Shop stuff. I think that smaller, hungrier companies, i.e. Dean Guitars s a great example of Incredible quality and lower prices.

Sharp Dressed Flying V
What is your opinion of this product?
It's beyond beautiful. Paint is perfect, binding is perfect, frets are perfect. Pups sound great. I had a little of the ebony come off onto my fingers the first couple of times, but no worries. I think it should've came with a case, but I bought one separately. A little too much room in the SKB case, just as a warning.
