    Joe Bonamassa Certificate of Authenticity
    A Treasured Vintage Firebird Reborn:
The Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Joe Bonamassa Treasure Firebird-I Outfit was closely modeled after Joe’s original 1963 Firebird. Joe worked closely with Epiphone’s legendary luthiers in Nashville, Tennessee to recreate his rare single pickup Firebird that was made in the first year of the guitar’s production at the Epiphone & Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. And according to Joe, the Epiphone Treasure Firebird-I far exceeded his expectations. “The guitar is called ‘Treasure’ as it’s based on the ‘63 Firebird that was graciously gifted to me 4 years ago,” said Bonamassa. “We A/B'd the new Epiphone with my two original 63s. The Epi's play and sound better! Ugh... I just paid $12,000 for one!”

Reverse Firebird™ body shape with Original Thru-Neck Construction
The Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Joe Bonamassa Treasure Firebird-I Outfit features a mahogany body with a 9-piece laminated mahogany/walnut neck with a period-correct early 1960s rounded “C” profile measured after Joe’s original. Epiphone improved on the vintage neck design by including a dual action adjustable truss rod. The Firebird was the first electric guitar to feature thru-neck construction along with the iconic Reverse Firebird™ body shape. The neck has a rosewood fingerboard with a 14” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, classic dot inlays, and a 24.75” scale length. The Treasure Firebird-I comes in two color finishes, a classic Tobacco Sunburst and Polymist Gold exclusive to Joe’s Signature Firebird. The historic-styled white and black-layered pickguard has the classic Firebirdlogo. A premium custom gigbag is included.

Epiphone ProBucker™ FB720 - “The Epi's play and sound better than the originals!”
The Treasure Firebird-I is powered by the new ProBucker™ FB720 pickup, reconstructed at Epiphone to the original specifications of Gibson Firebird pickups from the mid 60s. Accept no substitutes! The ProBucker™ FB720 has two Alnico II bar magnets used as blades in coils along with a steel reflector plate to achieve the classic Firebird tone of the 60s. Because the DC resistance is around 7.85Kohm, the ProBucker FB720 provides a clean, brighter output with incredible touch sensitivity and a warm low end compared to mini humbuckers, which are used in most Firebird reissues. Controls include Master Volume and Master Tone with Gold “Top Hat” knobs with metal inserts and pointers.

Epiphone All Metal Hardware with Exclusive Kluson® Reissue Firebird/Banjo Tuners
The Treasure Firebird-I features all-metal hardware including an adjustable wrap-around Lightning Bar bridge and tailpiece and Epiphone’s heavy-duty 1/4" output jack. Plus, the Treasure comes with Kluson® Reissue Firebird/Banjo Tuners with a 12:1 ratio (14.6:1 winding rate), the best and most accurate reissue of the original Firebird tuners from the early 60s. The Kluson® Reissue Firebird/Banjo Tuners are mounted on a beveled Original FirebirdTM Headstock with a black truss rod cover with the Epiphone logo in gold.

I had an original Gibson! In fact ii was a demo
    Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
It plays beautifully. I bought the original Gibson demo for $150. in 1967. I always loved its unique tone. Unfortunately in 1983 I needed cash sold it not knowing what it would be worth some day for $200.00 thinking I made a profit. So happy to have it again. I also own a Custom Shop Gibson Firebird 7. Nice guitar but different pickups = different tone. Well worth the $$

    Almost waited to long.
What is your opinion of this product?
Still in the honeymoon era with this as I it was just delivered today. Out of the box and to practice in 2 hours. Plays like a champ. Had to retune twice, not bad. For $799.00 I figured it was just wall art to look at, but I will play this thing a lot. The build is great, as good as the other FB I've had or better. I was worried about the tuners being bad but they are better then the originals. One pick up and one Volume and tone, so you have to take some time to work that if your not use to it. Been playing 40 years and I've had them all. This is the best $800.00 I have spent (In this decade). Get one while its hot, I understand the run is over at Epiphone. I'm seriously thing of getting another one as they are pretty much gone now.

As near perfection as can be.....
What is your opinion of this product?
Perfection...came tuned and all I did was lower the bridge. No neck adjustment needed. intonation...PERFECT! AMS is awesome ! I have owned over 150 guitars and Gibson Custom Shop Les Pauls...this Treasure is hot. Volume and Tone pots are smooth and sensitive. This guitar is incredible....what JB says on the video is true.

    It exceeded my expectations!
What is your opinion of this product?
So I've been waiting for the sunburst finish JB Firebird I to be released for a while and finally got one. All I can say is WOW! This thing rocks! It came perfectly set-up and not a blemish on her. Play's and sounds great! In case you're wondering about the neck being small, it's definitely on the chunky side. I have small hands and it's right at the limit where if it were any bigger I'd have to return it. The Firebird pup is really good, harsh but not too harsh with lots of tones to be had using the volume and tone controls. Epiphone hit a home run with this!

This is a awesome guitar. Great playing awesome build. Great sounding. 5 stars on this one .but the case gig bag won't protect the headstock with the large tuners.

    We have a winner!
What is your opinion of this product?
Also took receipt of my sunburst Firebird today. "Chuck's" review is dead-on, so I can't add much to it. However, I'll say overall quality and sound are fantastic and equal to instruments costing several times as much. Epiphone really did its homework this time around, particularly when it came to the minihumbucker. Being a Clapton/Cream aficionado, I've been waiting literally decades for an affordable, decent quality Firebird I--and now I've got it. Truth be told, I'm not a big Bonamassa fan, but Joe done us all a favor by working with Epiphone to get "Treasure" to the market.

    Great looking/sounding guitar !!
What is your opinion of this product?
Impeccable workmanship, sounds great unplugged, even greater plugged in. vol./tone pots have no "sudden roll off", better than I had expected. No " nose dive" w/ neck/headstock noticed when used w/ strap. Sounds "airy" unplugged. a "myriad" of different sounds ranging from clean to "dirty", using the vol./tone pots in different positions. Mine is in the Tobacco Sunburst finish, also. Ordered (10/15/16) Arrived today (2/7/17)!! Gigbag has a "substantially sized" zipper ( metal), and a pocket w/a hook/loop closure between the straps. The FB720 Pickup sounds better than the Gibsons !!!! , the 8 payment plan from AMS is great !
