Great Guitar, Worth it
What is your opinion of this product?
I like the band Trivium and I collect guitars to start. But even so I love playing this so much, it's not my best guitar but it's definitely worth the money and great quality. the kill switch is fun to toy with and with a good amount of distortion and reverb the fun you can have is amazing. The action is originally set higher than I'm use to but it's actually great. I'm very happy with what I'm getting out of it.

Well built alternative
What is your opinion of this product?
I purchased this guitar as an alternative to my Gibson LP Custom that has been taken a beaten lately during gigs. With the Ebony fretboard and EMGs.....it was almost a no brainer. Surprisingly, the guitar played well from the box. There is no dead spots on the neck, EMG's sound like EMG's....sustain is good. My ONLY complaint is the quality of the fretwork (but at this price range, was to be expected). The frets were VERY rough (finished with 320 grit?!?!) , fret edges were very sharp, and the crowns were unusually flat. Fortunately, I have all the luthier tools to take care of this rather quickly. frets were crowned, polished and metal polished with a dremel. They are like glass now. The edges were given a pass with a beveled file....very smooth. Overall, I give this guitar a 9.5 / 10. Mahogany, Ebony, and EMGs.....pure metal!

Absolutely amazing
What is your opinion of this product?
I just got this guitar today and it sounds amazing this is definitely a high end epiphone. The ebony neck is as smooth as butter and the no heel in the back makes it very easy to shred high up on the neck the sound is flawless. Definitely anyone on a budget looking for an amazing guitar should get this you will not be disappointed.

First Thoughts on the Heafy Custom LP
Your general opinion of this product.
This is an upper end Epi LP. It looks and feels like a quality instrument. Four things triggered this purchase: the deep set neck, the contoured neck joint, the ebony fretboard, and potential limited production. It does not come with a guitar case.
I believe this guitar was constructed of quality materials and with reasonable care. I assume it will be dependable and reliable. I am pleased with this guitar and I am inclined to believe that its quality and unique features justify its price. However, the Tribute Plus and Custom Prophecy models are $100 cheaper and include a case. I purchased a dent and scratch model. A label on the guitar box indicated it was missing hardware. I suspect this guitar may have been a demonstrator. It was not packed with the greatest care in the original guitar box and the lower strap button tore through part of the guitar box. The guitar had some slight scratches and rub marks. The rub marks came off easily. It was missing the inspection checklist/warranty card and one of the two screws to affix the enclosed, uninstalled pickguard. According to the label on the back of the headstock, this guitar was manufactured in Indonesia and set up in the USA. It weighs in at 9.4 pounds.
Slim profile neck. The back of the neck is gloss finished. The Axxess neck contour does improve upper fret access to some degree, but that is a subjective matter. A unique feature of the controls is a momentary kill switch activated by depressing the neck pickup tone control.
EMG 81/85 pickups. I believe they work well in this guitar. They are active pickups of course which have advantages, disadvantages, supporters, and detractors.
The set up was fairly good out of the box. The intonation is spot on or very close to that. No fret buzz and relatively low action.
I think this is a good looking guitar. It is pretty much all black, except for the binding and the pearloid fret markers. Nothing obnoxious about this signature model. I would hate to drill holes in it to install the pickguard, which is a three ply model of reasonable quality.
Too soon to tell, but it should hold up well. It does have the standard limited lifetime warranty.
