What is your opinion of this product?
I've been itching for a P bass for a while and this bass was better than I expected. I ordered this classic 50s lacquer as a scratch and dent and was pleasantly surprised to find the only "issue" with this bass was a loose input jack. So after a quick tightening I was left with a mint condition bass for a nice sized discount. This bass is simply amazing, I'd put this up against any US Fender no problem. My only issue is the pickguard, while it is gorgeous and gives the bass a great look the textured metal surface is uncomfortable to my fingernails. If playing slap or fingerstyle if my finger nail happens to rub against the pickguard it gives me almost a tin foil on teeth feeling. Really only a small issue so not even a complaint. I may replace it with a black pickguard eventually but the gold is so pretty.
